LebaneseGrillVegetarianSaladsBrunchResto-BarTasting Menu
BÁYRŪT is a modern Lebanese kitchen rooted in family, memory, and tradition. Inspired by the recipes of our mother Nunu and the food of our childhood, we serve dishes that honour the classics — creamy hummus made fresh daily, vibrant tabbouleh, and the rich earthiness of lentils and freekeh. Every plate tells a story, of the mountains of Lebanon, of meals passed hand to hand, and of the joy of feeding others with care. Whether you're here for a quick lunch or a slow, soulful dinner, we invite you to taste a legacy passed down through generations and reimagined for today.

Bayrut Restaurant earns praise for authentic Lebanese flavors, generous portions, and fresh, well presented dishes, with many noting a warm and attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere. Reviewers highlight the tasting menu as a standout experience, the bread, hummus, and tabbouleh, and the use of Lebanese wines and l'Arak in moderation, while some mention high prices or smaller portions for the cost and occasional modern twists or tapas style serving. One of the main reasons I love going to BAYRUT is actually how I feel after I leave. The food is authentic, fresh, natural, & beautifully prepared, so you still get that high-end dining experience without feeling overly heavy afterward like at a lot of other restaurants.

The atmosphere is also perfect for a first date or couples night out, but equally amazing for family gatherings because Lebanese food is meant to be shared. My favorite spots in Montreal.

Excellent service & conseils sur le menu. Repas excellent & menu varié. Peu achalandé, mais c'était un mardi soir. Une vraie immersion libanaise.

Wow. Bayrut on William Street completely impressed me.
The flavours are bold, fresh, & genuinely authentic - the kind of food that makes you pause because the taste hits you in the best way. Every dish felt thoughtful & beautifully made.

If you love Lebanese food, or just great food done with care, Bayrut is absolutely worth it. I left already planning my next visit.

The BEST Lebanese food in Canada. I have never tried such variety of authentic Lebanese food anywhere else in Canada. Of course there are many good Lebanese fast food chains that are great but Bayrut is such a unique place to actually finally introduce real Lebanese authentic cuisine in Montreal!! BRAVO - please come to Vancouver :-)

I never leave reviews, but if this helps even one person avoid the kind of disappointment I experienced at Bayrut, it'll feel worth the time & money I lost.

To start, the portion sizes are laughably small. If you have even a modest appetite, this isn't the place for you. More importantly, the food itself was extremely underwhelming. It tasted debatably worse than what you'd get from a basic takeout spot, which makes the pricing incredibly hard to justify. You're honestly better off saving your money & going somewhere like Amir if the taste of the food is what you're after.

I ordered the'chef's choice' chicken & rice, & it was easily the most disappointing meal I've ever had. It came with a tiny portion of plain white rice, dry & under-seasoned chicken, & boiled, mushy potatoes-all for a jawdropping $40. I actually laughed when I took my first bite because I couldn't believe this was being presented as a featured dish at that price point.

The appetizers were all the same. The Kibbeh were dry & crumbly, the cheese stuffed phyllo was offensively salty (coming from someone who adores salty food, this was inedible) & the stuffed vine leaves were simply'meh'. If you've ever had the canned ones from Costco, they taste the exact same….

Even if the meal had been FREE, I'd still feel the same way. I don't mind paying for quality, but this felt like a complete mismatch between cost & value.

The one bright spot was our waitress. she was genuinely kind & attentive, & I appreciated her service.

The service was good, but the food really wasn't worth the price. The quality didn't match what we paid, & overall it just wasn't very good. There are definitely other Lebanese restaurants that do it much better for the same price.

Absolument délicieux. Mets libanaise traditionnelles. Même les vins sont libanais. En particulier le vin La Tourba est excellent

Great Lebanese restaurant. I really enjoyed the experience. The fattoush, wara2 enab, loubiyeh bi zeit w joz, batata hara, & m3ajanet were all delicious & full of flavor. I especially appreciated that everything is not fried & is prepared with olive oil, which makes the dishes feel lighter & more authentic. The ambiance is clean, comfortable, & inviting. The highlight, though, is the fresh, hot bread they serve. Andrew was really helpful & friendly .

We had an incredible time at Bayrut. Can you tell from the minute you walk in that the staff here really cares about their food & their guests' experience. We ordered the Fattoush salad, pumpkin kibbeh, & eggplant dip. Everything was 10/10. Vatche was a delight. He mentioned that all the food was baked (not fried), light, & fresh. He was 100% right.

We were in Montreal for a vacation & sought recommendations. A Montreal native we know suggested this place & it was one of the best meals we ate in the City. The restaurant is small & comfortable & worth a visit. Excellence all around.
