LebaneseGrillVegetarianSaladsBrunchResto-BarTasting Menu
BÁYRŪT is a modern Lebanese kitchen rooted in family, memory, and tradition. Inspired by the recipes of our mother Nunu and the food of our childhood, we serve dishes that honour the classics — creamy hummus made fresh daily, vibrant tabbouleh, and the rich earthiness of lentils and freekeh. Every plate tells a story, of the mountains of Lebanon, of meals passed hand to hand, and of the joy of feeding others with care. Whether you're here for a quick lunch or a slow, soulful dinner, we invite you to taste a legacy passed down through generations and reimagined for today.

Had such a great experience at Restaurant Beirut. Farah provided excellent service & was very kind & attentive throughout our visit. The drinks were amazing, the fattoush salad was one of the best I've ever had, & the lahmacun/laham dish was incredibly tasty with a very generous portion. The recipe tasted homemade & authentic, which made the food even more enjoyable. The owner was also very friendly & welcoming, making the whole experience feel warm & inviting. Highly recommend this place for delicious food & great hospitality.

Absolutely loved our experience at Bayrut.

The atmosphere is elegant, warm, & beautifully designed - perfect for a cozy dinner with friends or family. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented, from the creamy hummus & vibrant tabbouleh to the perfectly cooked octopus & delicious desserts. The attention to detail in both taste & presentation truly stood out.

A special thank you to Andrew for the exceptional hospitality & attentive service throughout the evening. He made us feel genuinely welcomed & taken care of. & compliments to Chef Pierre - the food was outstanding, authentic, & crafted with real passion. You can feel the quality in every dish.

Highly recommend this place if you're looking for refined Lebanese cuisine, a stylish ambiance, & excellent service in Montreal. We will definitely be coming back! ✨

The most authentic Lebanese food with the best service. Andrew was amazing & very proud to make us taste & explain the story behind the true foundation of food in his country. Even the owners greeted us with great hospitality. The food was 10 out of 10

1:45h limit for 4 people & a credit card on file to reserve. The food may be good (albeit pricey) but I do find the time limit ironically antithetical to the typical Middle Eastern hospitality that the restaurant is supposed to espouse.

I NEED to leave a glowing review even if my order was via Uber Eats & I clearly missed the in-house atmosphere & hospitality. Every bite was fantastic! Bursting with flavors & textures & color. The fattoush was probably my favorite in all of Montreal. Tangy, spiced, & a hint of sweetness. It was hard to stop myself from eating the entire bowl (because I wanted to still try the other dishes). The baked chicken toast was unique & tasty. I'm not vegan/vegetarian but I happen to like vegetarian kibbeh, & those are hard to find in Montreal restaurants. The baked-not-fried method of cooking is an excellent healthy upgrade. The freekeh with chicken was beautifully plated/decorated even for delivery, & the chicken itself was so tender & flavorful! I MUST congratulate whoever thought of the packaging design for to-go items. Everything is neatly packaged in aesthetic cling-film trays so nothing spills in transit. Perfect to take to work, picnics, potlucks. If this was'just' delivery, I am eager to experience the in-person food & service! A side note: people who rated the resto poorly because of less authentic dishes - this is OKAY. They are transparent about wanting to offer healthier ways to eat traditional dishes. They have also created their own take on certain things & that's OKAY too! Nobody said they are trying to be some other traditional resto with strict'correct' ingredients or flavors. They are being creative, & I can appreciate that, even if others don't. LOVED IT, I need more!

Mediterranean love from Lebanon to Montreal. The service was flawless: attentive without being intrusive, & every member of the staff seemed genuinely proud of what they were offering. The food itself was outstanding-beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned, & crafted with the kind of care that elevates a meal into an experience. Every course felt thoughtful & balanced, with attention to both flavor & detail. It's rare to find a place where quality, atmosphere, & hospitality align so perfectly, but this restaurant truly delivers on every front. A five-star experience worth revisiting again & again.

What makes this restaurant truly special is the hospitality, it reminded me so much of the kind of warmth & generosity you find in Lebanon. The owners are the heart of this place. From the moment we walked in, they welcomed us with genuine care, big smiles, & an attention to detail that made us feel like honoured guests at the bar. You can tell how much pride they take in both the food & the experience they create.

The food itself was fantastic! Flavourful, fresh, & beautifully prepared. Every bite felt authentic & made with love.

& while the owners set the tone with their incredible hospitality, our server Joya carried it through with attentive & kind service.

It's rare to find a spot where the food & the people running it are equally unforgettable. This is one of those places. Thank you for a great night ❤?

This review is based on an independent visit, aiming for objectivity. While Bayrut Restaurant serves respectable Middle Eastern cuisine, there are other options in Montreal that offer **greater value & superior flavors** for the price.

The food at Bayrut is decent but not distinctive. The restaurant advertises fresh ingredients, yet only provides lemonade made from imported syrup. Bread servings were notably minimal, which was especially disappointing for dishes like hummus, labneh, brown butter, & kibbeh niyeh-frequently eaten with bread, but here, I resorted to using a fork. Rice portions were also sparse & failed to complement the otherwise tasty kibbeh arnabieh, which was the highlight of the meal. The three types of kibbeh niyeh (walnut, rose petals, pistachios) failed to impress, & the hummus was comparably ordinary.

Overall, Bayrut did not stand out from other Middle Eastern restaurants in Montreal. The experience lacked the transportive aromas, flavors, & hospitality you expect in a standout establishment. Service was satisfactory but showed signs of inexperience, with some staff evidently still undergoing training.

In short, Bayrut felt indistinguishable from several other unremarkable restaurants in Montreal; neither the ambiance, nor the food, nor the generosity made the visit memorable.

I can't describe how amazing this place is. The hospitality, the care, the food, & most importantly the passion put into this place. Genuinely can't recommend this place enough. Give it a visit (or 10!).
