CAFFETTIERA (une cafetière Moka en italien), situé dans le Mille carré doré de Montréal, est un bar italien inspiré des années 90.
Le ‘‘ bar ’’, pour les italiens, est l’endroit où l’on va durant sa journée, pour prendre une pause. Notre espresso est torréfié en Italie et infusé avec des machines à piston Vittorio Arduini ainsi qu’avec les classiques Bialettis.

Caffettiera (moka coffee pot in italian) is a 90’s inspired Italian bar located in Montreal’s Golden Square Mile. For Italians, the “bar” is where one goes to take a break from the day.
Our espresso is roasted in Italy and brewed from shiny Vittorio Arduini Lever machines as well as classic Bialettis.
Bar Caffettiera est perçu comme un café italien authentique, avec un espresso et des pâtisseries de grande qualité, notamment le croissant à la pistache et le bombolone à la Nutella, ainsi que des sandwiches et des granitas. L'ambiance est vivante et conviviale avec une vibe italienne forte, musique parfois très forte, et une terrasse agréable en été; l'endroit peut devenir très fréquenté et les espaces restreints, ce qui peut rendre le service un peu chaotique ou bruyant selon les heures. Le personnel est généralement chaleureux et efficace, et le cadre attire autant les touristes que les locaux, offrant une expérience de café traditionnel sans options américaines et une impression de être en Italie. Pour certains, le prix peut être élevé et la foule peut gêner la dégustation ou le travail sur place, mais la qualité du café et des viennoiseries justifie souvent le détour. Globalement, Bar Caffettiera est une référence pour ceux qui recherchent une expérience café à l italienne, avec un décor soigné, une offre sucrée généreuse et une forte identité locale.
The atmosphere here is incredible, it's visually appealing & I love what they're trying to do. My only complaint, & I guess it's kind of a big one, my double shot of espresso in a latte was not good. The shot took around 15 seconds to pull, & was extremely sour. It happens, & because it was in a latte form, it was tolerable. But I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it as a straight shot. I'd give Bar Caffeettiera a try again though.
Delicious espresso slush (I asked to add a little bit of oat milk!) & such a cool vibe. I'm glad I passed by & I'll be back! Definitely a must visit when you're downtown.

Loved it so much we came twice during our visit. We had the frozen/slushy espresso; it was unlike anything I've had before & now I want it every day. Staff were friendly & atmosphere is chefs kiss

Fantastic espresso & a warm welcome every time! The barista here is always friendly & smiling, making my coffee experience even better. The quality of the espresso is consistently excellent, & the cozy atmosphere adds to the charm. Definitely my go-to spot for a perfect cup of coffee!
QUALITY Italian caffè near McGill producing some of the best coffee I've had in Montreal! First off the logo, name, & vibe of the place instantly transports you back to 1970s Sicily with a Moka pot in your hand. Secondly, the staff are super friendly & are masters in the art of super efficient service (lines move quickly). Lastly, the coffee & food offerings are both unique as well as high quality - not many other places that I've been to in Canada offer Granita, brioscia, & focaccia all under one roof. The granita latte is a must-try - it's reminiscent of a Tim's Iced Cap but with Sicilian sophistication & class. In terms of food, you really can't go wrong with any of the choices whether savory or sweet. I also like that they serve a glass of San Pellegrino with your espresso just like in Italy. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend you make a stop here for your daily coffee fix if you're in Montreal.
BEST COFFEE SHOP IN DOWNTOWN. This is the only spot in downtown that has AUTHENTIC pistachio Bombolone. The espresso is sharp, clean & smooth. Perfectly Italian spot. Service is easy & the people behind the bar are always smiling & helpful. They also have an extensive collection of European confectioneries
I absolutely loved this place! The Studentessa sandwich was amazing. I also loved the espresso, the flavour was very intense. I will come back here next time I am in Montreal.
Visiting the area for the week & came across this place nearby where I'm staying. Friendly service, very quick to make drinks & a good amount of tables to sit at. The cappuccino with oat milk was very good. High quality Italian espresso. The pistachio cream donut & Nutella filled pastry were both great. I'd definitely recommending stopping in here, it's worth the trip.

As a coffee fan from Europe, this was the only cafe with good espresso or cappuccino I found in my 4 weeks trip through Canada!
Definitely the best, I recommend it.
The Focaccia & Ciabatta were also great.
