WELCOME TO AUX VIVRES, MONTREAL'S FIRST VEGAN RESTAURANT.
At Aux Vivres, we serve fresh, innovative and delicious vegan food using nothing but the highest quality ingredients. We have made it our mission to debunk any myths people may hold about vegan food by preparing meals that are flavourful and inspired, all the while being healthy and satisfying.
Aux Vivres receives wide praise for flavorful, fresh vegan dishes, generous portions and a warm, cozy atmosphere. Dishes like the Mumbai bowl, Thai bowl, Dragon bowl, BLT and dahl soup are repeatedly cited as satisfying, with thoughtful ingredient combinations and plenty of vegetables. The menu is described as healthy and comforting, with many reviewers noting gluten free options and allergy awareness. The staff is often described as friendly and attentive, with praise for service and ambiance, though a few comments point to slower service during busy periods. Occasionally criticisms appear about price value, portions that feel very large for some, changes to the menu removing favorites like Tom Yum soup and Malai Kofta, and in one case a report of food poisoning after the Dragon bowl. The venue is described as a Montreal institution and a go to for both vegans and non vegans, with brunch, smoothies and a shop for take away. Overall, the reviews suggest Aux Vivres is a cornerstone of vegan dining in Montreal, with frequent recommendations to try the BLT and the variety of bowls, and a note to plan for potential crowds.
Loved the entrée Chana Dal. Very tasty & the bread was so soft. 2 people can eat it & would be too much for 1 person. Tried the Aux Vivres burger & it was so light & good.
Amazing service & deelish food. We were shown to a comfortable booth, everyting is super clean. I was with a friend who is discovering vegetarian cuisine & he had never tried Aux vivres - he loved the Mezze platter, especially the faux butter naan, the faux cretons & tzaziki & the chili, as well as the carrot cake. The mushroom burger was crispy & tasty, & the ginger cookie amazing. We loved the beer & seltzer drinks.
The waiters are always nice & super friendly & competent (& stylish). One of my fave restaus in the neighbourhood.
I went with some friends for brunch, we had a great time & very very tasty food. This place always deliver & has been our top choice for brunch for many years.

My favorite restaurant! I haven't been for years & it is still the same quality. Very tasty, healthy, & beautiful meals.
Try the sandwich Lox & the Bol du Dragon: my forever favorites. Miam! I would go back today if I didn't live that far ;)
Impeccable service.

Food is great. Tasty & good portions. Staff are always friendly & check on you frequently. By far my favourite restaurant in Montreal & one of the few vegan spots my non vegan friends love going to.

Plesantly surprised! We tried a variety of things. I have the Latke Burger. It was okay, not the best, everything was falling out & slightly bland. My boyfriend had the Dragon sandwich/wrap which was amazing & HUGE! We were worried it would be small & not filling but wow... He eats alot & half was already enough. All the sauces were amazing & tasty you wouldn't even know they're vegan. I loved the tempeh, especially since I hate tofu.
