Foie Gras. Foie Gras. The Scallop dish. The pancake dish. Our dessert was the creme pudding. Paired with Pinot Noir. A great culinary experience. Service was slow & disconnected. Everyone was friendly but the attention & timeliness wasn't there. Our waitress was more of a campaigner walking around to smile & be friendly but she didn't serve us. Odd right? They had bussers, food runners, altogether we had 4-5 different staff tend to us but none were truly attentive & timely. I'm a generous tipper but I was wondering who gets the tip. I felt my waiter didn't deserve it. Odd right? We sat in front of the cooking station witnessed all the action. It felt operationally inefficient & chaotic. The head chef & his team, in my opinion deserved the tip. They held the entire restaurant together working in chaos & kept the dishes coming. I noticed he'd call out that a dish was ready but the dish would sit on the shelf likely too long. The food did take too long to get & the time gap between dishes were too long. Wine ordering took too long. If the dishes came out more timely we would've wanted to order more. The best part by far are the incredible & unique dishes. Flavors, richness, uniqueness, all exceptionally enjoyable & memorable. The show stealer. About the atmosphere...for me...it's a bit too cramped & loud for me, but I know it's just me. It's a bar & pub feel. The atmosphere could be completely great for others. What do I know, the place was packed on a Wednesday evening.
May have gotten a five. Honestly, we chose plats main unwisely. We should have order the Duck in a Can & the Pork Shank, which the people next to us got & both looked amazing.
Been going there for 10years plus & it is still a delicious menu. Loud. & boisterous Fun ambiance ! Service is overall ok , slow bar. So I'd order wine & beer. Drinks were inventive but took forever to get to table unphased with our meal. This is the 3rd time the bar is slow. Add a barman or fire the current dude !
This is an institution in MTL with the legacy to leave people with happy tummies & it showed with how packed the restaurant was both locals & fellow tourists. Everything we ordered was great & the staff are really passionate & knowledgable with the food they serve as they proactively suggested the food to get depending on our liking. We were not that hungry as we already got dinner but still managed to order more than expected because of how good the food was!
Highly recommended, this is the best food I've had in Montreal. Everything we ordered on that day was superb delicious & outstanding. Not only the name is unique, new to me but taste here is really out of this world. Definitely above 3 ⭐️ Michelin foods, I will awarded to the team. This restaurant is very popular & reservation is mandatory. I don't how they stew, boil or stream the meats? Everything instantly melted in my mouth without bite or chew?🙄 That's what I called, "magic"? 😊 A bit complaint - when it's too crowded , hard to get out from the seat with full stomach because blocked by patrons.🤭

Nous étions 8 & plusieurs ont été déçus, premièrement ce qui était supposé être de l'agneau était tellement dur, ça prenait un bon couteau & ça ne goûtait vraiment pas l'agneau. Le fameux pâté chinois qui selon nous n'avait pas raison d'être vu le prix élevé du repas. La première bouchée j'ai été incapable de mâcher la viande, c'était plein de croquant que j'ai dut l'enlever de ma bouche & la deuxième c'était de gros morceaux de gras. Presque personne y à touché, pas un succès.... Maintenant la fameuse tarte aux pommes, personne de nous a été capable de couper la croûte & le gras sur la tarte.... Il y a une personne qui a adoré la truite, il à presque mangé les deux plats à lui seul. Le gâteau aux carottes était très gras avec le fromage à chaque étage. Parfois en voulant trop en faire ça finit que c'est pas toujours bon. Nous sommes allés & il n'y aura pas de prochaine fois pour nous soyez-en certain.
Dès notre arrivée une charmante hôtesse nous a pris en charge , nous avions demandé Bar pour notre soirée , nous avons été placé droit devant Maya , une machine , un rock , très focus a sa tâche & au bon déroulement de son équipe , aucune assiette ne passe si elle ne juge pas qu'elle en vaut le coût , présentation & goût sont jugée . Malgré sont travail acharné & ardu , elle répondait a toute nos questions avec gentille & sourire avant de retourner dans sa bulle . Impressionnante 🤩 . & que dire d' Alexandre sommelier & hôte incroyable , un amour de garçon il avait notre soirée entre les mains je fêtais mon cinquantième le soir même , tout ce qu'il nous a proposé comme repas nous l'avons pris dans l'ordre qu'il a décidé , & croyez moi , aucun regret. Que du plaisir , en bouche & en ambiance. Il nous a offert un shooter pour mon anniversaire, une belle surprise très apprécié & des de bingale. Je suis séduite de A a Z ainsi que mon conjoint. Chaque employé , communiquent bien , répondent a nos questions , expliquent chaque plat & nous salut au passage. Un endroit a découvrir & ensuite a fréquenter. Merci mille fois a tous
