We really liked the Almond Croissant & the Kouign-Amann!
Almond Croissant: This was delicious & featured a distinct layer of almond filling baked right inside.
Kouign-Amann: Fluffy & flaky. The rich butter literally melts & lingers in your mouth.
Amazing fresh pastries! A Must try is the kouign-amann! An incredible taste that you will crave again once you've tried it. We came right in the morning & there was plenty available. The almond croissants were 10/10!
Excellent bakery. The Kouing Amman was heavenly & bursting with butter. The almond croissant was classy (see below). Both pastries were served warm & fresh at noon.
Everything in this bakery is pure heaven. This is the gold standard. Correct pricing as well. Their selection is better early as they open. There are two small tables inside. No outside seats. I will be back few more times to try every single item. This place is PERFECT.
Their kouign amann was so good that we went back to get more before leaving Montreal.
The best pastry in Montreal! Get the namesake & enjoy. Good espresso drinks too!
I went to Kouign Amann & tried their signature sliced kouign amann. It was one of the best pastries I've ever had-crispy on the outside, soft inside, & full of buttery, caramelized flavor. I highly recommend it.
I also tried the croissant. It was okay, but I expected it to be better. It wasn't as crispy or flaky as I was hoping.
Awesome French bakery, everything is made fresh. Capacino coffee Is also available. It's a small place on a main shopping strip. Has a place to sit & enjoy your coffees & pastry. Must try when in Montreal. It's worth the visit. Come early in the morning. Also must stop by the church a couple of blocks up/ Down the street on the same side of the bakery if you believe in God. If not just keep walking.
Honestly the best kouign amann I have had in a long time. It is buttery, crispy, & has that perfect golden color. I really appreciate how the bakery keeps things simple & focuses on doing a few things exceptionally well rather than having a massive, mediocre menu. The vibe is laid back & comfortable, making it a perfect spot to relax. If you are in the area & have a craving for something sweet & authentic, this is the only place you need to visit. A solid addition to the local scene.
