At 316 avenue du Mont-Royal Est, we've been loving the kouing-amann for over 30 years.
A true neighborhood café, the owner and employees work together to offer gourmet pastries (made with passion!), fresh sandwiches and the famous kouing-amann.
Let yourself be tempted by a moment of greed in a warm family atmosphere that has lasted for nearly three decades.

viennoiseries correctes mais les kouignaman n ont absolument rien à voir avec des vrais kouignaman breton 🙄 pas assez de beurre pas le gout caramélisé du beurre salé & du sucre pas de feuilleté on dirait une brioche...
I know this place is great, but I'm frustrated that I drove all the way from New York to find that this place is closed... no updates to their Google hours. Wouldn't have wasted the trip had I known! Thanks...
An absolute must if you are visiting Montreal! I love that each slice is relatively inexpensive. It's ultra delicious when fresh & hot! Not a place for seating though, so expect to takeaway. Only has 2 tables in the shop & outside is too hot in the summe
C'est des bonnes pâtisserie, il y a pas trop de bruit & le service est gentil.
Meilleurs croissants & chocolatines de la ville! Meilleurs que ceux qu'on peut trouver en France!
A must try for anyone visiting Montreal. Get their signature item & you will be amazed 👌
I dream of the namesake pastry. Excellent kouign amann. Fast service. Come at least an hour before closing to ensure that you get a piece of heaven before they sell out!
I had never before had "kouing-amann". I wish I had gotten more than one piece before the bakery will be on vacation for a month. This is literally the best pastry I have ever tasted.
Just do yourself a favor & go get a slice of the legendary kouign Aman, you won't regret it. All the pastries tasted were freshly made & delicious & the owner was so kind. Highly recommend.
One of the best little hidden gems in Montreal if you can only get lucky to find their signature pastry the Kouign Amann as it's usually sold out but they said you can order a full pie ahead of time & pick it up to secure your order which I highly recommend because it just might be one of the tastiest treats you've ever tried. Above average Croissants here too & I'm sure all their other stuff is really good as well & reasonably priced 👌🏼 2024 review update has this place still staying on top with a 5 star rating as they just continue to do everything right 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I've been searching all my life for the best croissant. & this is the place!!! The best croissant in the world!!!! It is amazing. You can taste the savory & sweet butter inside. Which is exactly how I like it. I wish all bakery make the same croissant with lots of butter. The kouign amann was amazing too. I ate too much lol But it's the best. I would come here everyday if I could.
Amazing place, It's a shame that they don't go open that much & close earlier than the times they put online, came all the way from the Netherlands expecting that they were still open as they said online just to get a taste, but they weren't & now I will leave in 3 days without having the opportunity to taste their pastries.
I don't know how people in this city stay so skinny with a place like this around. We've never had Kouign Amann & it was so good, we came back multiple times on our 9 day trip. The signature offering is very buttery with a nice crispy surface somewhat similar to a good croissant. I wouldn't visit Montréal without sampling this place.
spectacular spectacular spectacular one of the most incredible bakeries in North America. Their signature creation & their namesake has been featured in the New York Times & this gem is a must visit if you are in Montreal.
