Arthur's Nosh Bar is a really good brunch spot in Montreal. What we like most is the cottage cheese pancakes & the fried eggs, everything is super flavorful & well done.
They don't have an espresso machine, but that doesn't bother us since we actually prefer filter coffee.
Overall, it's an excellent spot for breakfast or brunch in the city. Just keep in mind they don't take reservations, so you usually have to wait a bit, especially on weekends.
I only dock a tiny point for the squishy seating, other than that this is THE spot!!! Iconic food, always bringing new friends to Arthur's because it's just that good. Such a beautiful family story too. Come for breakfast, come for brunch. Whatever you choose, make sure you get a cookie on your way out 😉🩵
We love.love.love the pancakes here. Best in Montreal. We have tried to make them ourselves but never came close. It is small & it gets crowded but the atmosphere is good, & the food is great. It is a must go for breakfast in the city.
We loved Arthurs! Deliciously fresh & comforting food, wonderful service, busy & bustling the entire time but we never felt rushed. Excited for them to have a liquor license to try some cocktails, but for the time being I enjoyed my London Fog 😊 I really loved the family photos in the space & how thoughtful everything felt. We spoke with one of the staff members for a while just chatting about the city & the restaurant, & he came back a few minutes later with a complimentary cookie which was just as delicious as our breakfast. We'll be back for sure!
I ordered from Uber eats, & I had no clue this place was Jewish food. I just heard it was really good. So my family was Jewish & when I ate the food... Before knowing this was a Jewish place, I said to myself after a few bites, this food is so amazing, I feel like my grandmother & great grandmother would have eaten here... Then I did research on the place & when I found it was Jewish, I laughed so hard, literally slapped my knee, & couldn't help but feel like my ancestors in me were so pleased with this cozy breakfast meal 😂🩷😁
A cute little breakfast/brunch spot, with retro decor & standard kosher breakfast selection: latkes, creamy scrambled eggs, gravlax on the rye or bagels, & their signature item, an inch thick fluffy syrniki( cheese pancakes). The items on the menu are somewhat limited (as is their coffee selection), but fresh, if a little plain to my taste. It is the service that needs some attention in my opinion.
Ordered Uber.
Disappointed. $20 breakfast sandwich with processed cheese? Ice cold not even warmed up roll. 2 incredibly small latkes.
Overpriced & underwhelming.
Incredible breakfast & sandwiches. I had the breakfast sandwich & cottage cheese pancakes & both could qualify as the absolute best of their kind. I couldn't recommend this place enough & that was before I had their incredible chicken schnitzel sandwich which is a MUST EAT.
One of my favorite breakfast & brunch place in Montreal
I love their gravlax sandwich & their pancake is awesome. The best pancake
Not only is this the best breakfast place I've ever had in my life. This is potentially the best restaurant in the world. What a pancake how did you even come up with this recipe…. Signore arturo…. Te salute…. 10/10 coming badk & telling everyone about this place.
Recommended to take afternoon off after a combination of breakfast sandwich & the pancakes…. Ming
Seriously don't change a thing
Thank you for this
Tried the famous Arthur's Nosh bar for breakfast today. There was a lineup even before they opened, but we were early & were quickly seated. I had the grand slam which is a bit deceiving from the picture, but still tasted very nice. The pancakes were soft & fluffy. The hot sauce is spicy though & has a certain kick to it. The servers were considerate to our requests, but the service was very slow. Had to wait almost 30 minutes to get the food. Good experience overall!
Arthur's Nosh Bar is a cozy & vibrant spot offering delicious comfort food with a modern twist. The menu features hearty sandwiches, flavorful breakfast options, & freshly brewed coffee - all made with quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, & the service is quick, making it perfect for both casual meals & relaxed hangouts. With its warm atmosphere & tasty dishes, Arthur's Nosh Bar delivers an unforgettable dining experience.
I know, I know. I know that everybody knows... but I have to say it.
Those pancakes??!!!
They weren't just pancakes. They were PANKAKES.
Like, sent-from-the-heavens, kissed-by-angels, fluffy little miracles stacked on a plate.
I've eaten pancakes. I've lived pancakes. But these?
These were the Beyoncé of breakfast. The Serena Williams of syrup-soaked goodness.
The kind that make you question every pancake you've ever met before.
I took one bite & my soul did a backflip.
I almost called my mom to apologize for every pancake she ever made me.
I considered writing a thank-you letter to the chef, the flour, the eggs, & even the spatula.
So yeah.
Best. Pancakes. Of. My. Entire. Life.
& I'm not exaggerating. (Okay maybe a little. But only because they deserve it.
I had the breakfast sandwich at $17 tax included. It was really not worth it.
The single thin slice of meat was a disappointing portion for an expensive small sandwich. However all in all the sandwich came together & was quite nice. Mind you the blueberry pancakes on the other tables looked delicious.
Arthur's Nosh was a good neighborhood breakfast place. The pancakes were unique & really yummy. The Latkes were the best I've ever had. The smoked salmon plate was ok.
Arthur's Nosh Bar was highly recommended to us during our visit to Montréal, & we can understand why.
This restaurant has a great dining area that's well lit & relaxing. The staff are all friendly & helpful. There is also a lot of merchandise for sale.
We ordered the Strawberry Syrniki for breakfast (a cheesy pancake). It was one of the best breakfasts we had on our visit. The pancake wasn't too sweet (which is what we've noticed from other breakfast places in Canada) & & strawberries & maple syrup enhanced the flavour. Highly recommend Arthur's Nosh Bar for breakfast.
I have been to Arthur's twice now on visits to Montreal & both times were amazing! Our most recent visit, just a couple of days ago, was truly outstanding. We went on a weekday, so although business was still steady it wasn't packed & we were able to be seated right away. Service was friendly & attentive. We got the latke smorgasbord, the breakfast sandwich, fries & shared the pancakes for dessert. It was all top notch. My husband said the breakfast sandwich was one of the best (if not the best) he's ever had, & we both agreed the pancakes were THE best we've both ever had. We loved the vibe & can't wait to come back!
