We absolutely loved this Italian gem 💎
It was recommended to me by an Italian, & it didn't disappoint!
The atmosphere is very cozy, charming & warm. The service is friendly & welcoming, lots of great recommendations for wine pairing with the food. The fried calamari was delicate & well cooked, the pasta I chose was delightful & perfect for late Fall weather. The tiramisu was good & the final gift was a shot for our table on the house!
We will definitely be back 😌
One of the best Italian restaurants in town.
You can't go wrong there, the food is fresh & made with pride.
We had a diner for two, from the appetizers to the desserts, it was a great experience!
Lee did an amazing service!
We will be back for more.
Antonietta is such a lovely take on an authentic Italian restaurant. The pizza is baked in a traditional wood-fired round oven, which gives the crust a perfect balance of chewiness & lightness. Their burrata salad is absolutely delicious-so fresh & light, the kind of starter that sets the tone for the rest of the meal.
The mains are equally satisfying: the beef macaroni is hearty & flavorful, while the rabbit pasta is delicate yet rich in taste. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared & true to Italian tradition.
The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so making a reservation ahead of time is a must. The atmosphere feels cozy & intimate, & what really stands out is the service. The staff are attentive without being overbearing, constantly making sure your plates are cleared & the table kept fresh. On top of that, they're genuinely kind & welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
All in all, Antoinetta is a gem; authentic, flavorful, & warm. Definitely worth the visit!
One of the best Italian restaurants in the world. Service is superb! The food is beyond imagination. Take your time…we spent 3 hours enjoying every moment. Highly recommend.
Italian spot in hip area, great creations well balance flavours! Pizza is must try
Great neighbourhood Italian restaurant: Napolitan pizza & pasta are very typical & tasty. Staff is super nice!
antonietta is an italian hidden gem! the restaurant is small but the seating arrangement, decor, & ambiance make the space feel cozy & inviting. with an open kitchen concept, you feel as though you're a guest having handmade dinner in someone's home. the service is impeccable as the staff is extremely informed about the ingredients & extensively know their wine list. the wine menu has your main options: red, white, orange & bubbly. if you have any questions or concerns they are there to guide you in having the best & most authentic italian experience in the city. now when it comes to the food - absolutely orgasmic! with a perfectly size menu (one page) you can taste the freshness & quality in each bite from appetizers to dessert. to add, i noticed that so much craft, passion, & creativity goes into every dish. we were fortunate to try an experimental dish made by their back of house legend, matteo, & of course it did not disappoint.
antonietta is absolutely gorgeous & checks all your culinary boxes! thank you to the amazing team, can't wait to come back during the summer!
Amazing experience as always. One of the best italian restaurants in Montreal, everyone should give it a try.
Everything is great from the wine selection, to the starters, the pizza, the pasta, the mains & the desserts. Menu is often changing so you can always try new things.
The grilled octopus that was on the special last night was one of the best I've had in a very long time. Super tender & moist.
Back of the house is still great but the front has taken a nosedive. I've loved this restaurant every time I've been previously but the service was truly lacking at my most recent visit (slow, inattentive, impersonal). Gone is the Italian family vibe that I had loved so much.
We had heard that at least one of the former owners has left & unfortunately is shows.
One of Montreal's hidden gems! I was impressed by their attention to details & the quality they bring to all of their dishes! Every thing is made from scratch. A true Italian authentic restaurant where the staff truly take pride in their work. Worth the detour!
Vera cucina italiana, roba seria. Crostini di fegato e pappardelle all'anatra fuori controllo
Grazie del sogno
This italian restaurant was very dissapointing. Not authentic. Waitress recommendation to try daily the daily special of Macaroni. It was served with minced duck as a "bolognese" served watery & tasted odd. Pizza was ok, sauce tasted from a can. The worst was that the 12$ tiramisu in a small cup that for certain wasnt made with mascarpone. literally cream.
A lovely restaurant cooking some of the better Italian-inspired food of Montreal. It is contemporary, in the way that it is refined, but the core Italian flavor profiles are respected, when & where need be, which is exactly what we should be looking for. To top it off, the service was superb (friendly, relaxed, & yet Pro, classy & educated) & their talented kitchen brigade cooks with precision, refinement & well mastered technique (the little things we tend to take for granted, sometimes, but that, at the end of the day, make food great.
This is truly a hidden gem in Montreal & a Must-Go when passing or visiting Montreal, you are in for some Italian culinary experience mixed with a nice chill ambience & cool staff. The service was really good & people are so friendly making the atmosphere very pleasant. Dishes & food it's full of flavours, the pizzas are great, dough & sauce so tasteful, the pasta & antipasti are as great as their presentation. 100% Recommended . This is now in my coup de coeur de Montreal.
Amazing spot very authentic & family owned . Hard to beat this place for Italian food

There should be 400 more restaurants like this one. In 2024, it is still difficult to adjust expectations about the Quality-Price ratios in restaurants given the inflation & shortage of labour, but one thing is clear: they know how to meet the expectations of italian food lovers. I would go back there every week if I could.
My only constructive comment: I expected a more reliable & researched ITALIAN wine list. Don't get me wrong, all the wines we tasted were great, & the waiter knew his stuff. It is just that there were no valpolicella from Tomasso Bussola. Quintarelli & others on the list. The balance was heavily on many French regions, for a Trattoria ... that's a bummer. That being said, kudos for an extensive list of rosati & orange wines.
We will definitely be back as much as we can!

Everything was just amazing. One of the best Italian meals I've ever had.

If you want the most refined Italian meal in the city, with the most unique wine selection..this is the place..bottom line.

One of the best Italian meals I've ever had in my life. The ragu was sensational as was the gnocchi. The fritto misto too, was cooked perfectly. Service was exceptional. 10/10
