From the team behind Ristorante Beatrice, Améa is a Mediterranean-inspired gourmand resto / pizzeria + coffee shop nestled within Montreal’s historic Maison Alcan building.
Derived from the French word "âme" meaning soul, Améa is an ode to the vision, warmth and heart behind our menu.
Améa Café se présente comme un endroit lumineux et spacieux, élégant, au centre-ville de Montréal, avec de multiples espaces pour étudier, discuter ou simplement prendre un café. Les avis louent le café et les pâtisseries, avec des coups de cœur tels que le latte pistache, les croissants pistache et framboise, la shakshouka et diverses options de brunch; l'ambiance et la décoration sont souvent décrites comme accueillantes et propices au travail ou aux rencontres. Super cute cafe with a nice ambiance. The supreme croissant is not good. The pastry was soggy, & the filling bland. Expected better from the Beatrice team.
Superbe endroit au coeur de Montréal avec douce ambiance musicale. Le menu présente des choix savoureux! Nous avons pris un cappuccino avec lait d'avoine & un cortado! C'était divin belle présentation de Latte Art! Pour le repas, j'ai pris la pizza Giardiniera. Oh mon dieu, dans chaque bouchée on captait un morceau de champignon, artichaut & tomate sans oublier les olives & le fior de latte!! Ma copine a pris le sandwich Fungi Fritti Fritti, très belle présentation avec des radis marinés les pleurotes frits explosent dans la bouche. Nous n'avons pas pu venir ici sans essayer le bar de pâtisserie. Nous avons partagé une tarte à la pistache & un Supreme (croissant tendance roulé aux fraises avec crème ricotta) Adresse à mettre à votre agenda!!
Very expensive but the quality & the atmosphere is very nice. A place worth to try but again expensive. Their famous croissant is 7.5$ just to give u an idea.
Le café Amea offre une expérience exceptionnelle avec son cadre grand & beau qui crée une ambiance accueillante & relaxante. Le service rapide & efficace ajoute à la satisfaction, permettant aux clients de profiter pleinement de leur visite. Les croissants sont délicieux, fraîchement préparés & d'une qualité qui ravit les papilles. It's a self-service cafe/restaurant but the person serving me behind the counter gave me excellent recommendations for my first time here & I highly appreciated it! It truly elevated my experience & I'm so grateful! The blueberry almond croissant is amazing & hit the spot (not too sweet but excellent fresh texture) & I can't wait to try my crookie later! The coffee is good! I look forward to the opportunity to come back! 😊
I think it's worth the hype. It gets bussy but they can manage. Aslo, really big space . Great place to work & don't forget to try their different croissants. 🥐
Food & pastries were spectacular. Seating area is gorgeous & spacious. Only issue was that the music was quite loud. The eggplant was a highlight dish as well as the circular croissants.
This is a beautiful ambiance with different pastries & brunch options. However, there is no services after receiving foods & if you need an extra plate, utensils, bread or any other side requests you have to turn back to customers line & wait long to talk with cashier. We asked an extra piece of bread & they charged 7$! Unreasonable price for a bread & inconvenient customer service in a sense that needs to back to the line just for such a small request! In the matter of food quality, we ordered Shakshuka & supreme croissant. The Shakshuka was delicious but the breads were super stiff & the croissant taste was average. There is still a way to improvement.
The food & the place are instagramable. The ambiance is classy & the food is a bit expensive. The mochaccino is rich & has the right amount of sweetness, coffee, & chocolate. We ordered Patate E Pancetta (5⭐️ for me), Croissant Supreme (3.5⭐️, Cannoli (4⭐️), & Formaggiosa (4⭐️).
Came for the croissant & got a croissant. The location is great & the concept is nice. There was a line but went fast. The coffee was good. We were a bit disappointed by the amount of filing.

très belle place pour aller avec ses amis. La nourriture était délicieuse & frais. L'atmosphère & la décoration est très''aesthetic ''. Mais malheureusement les croissants pistaches étaient en rupture de stock. J'aurais voulu en manger 😒
The location is a bit strange, it's inside an office building I think? But the space is beautiful. My croque mademoiselle was nice & the sweet viral standing croissant was good too, but neither blew me away. It was pricey. It is a bit cafeteria style. They have someone seating tables (at least on weekends) but you go up to the cash register to order.

We have been trying -& failing- to come to this place since it opened two years ago. But every time we tried, it would be closed. Today we lucked out & there was no lineup. This is a beautiful dining experience if you are looking for a "high end" cafeteria style food. They have pizzas, some hot sandwiches, salads & a few hot meals but by the time we arrived, which was a little after noon & on their last open day before they closed for the holidays, there were a few unavailable items on their menu. So we settled for their chicken sandwich, a cortado coffee & a pistachio croissant filled with rhubarb filling. Absolutely delicious & top notch ingredients in every bite. So well worth the wait. The ambiance is airy & cozy at the same time. Loved it & would come again.
Located in the Alcan heritage building on Sherbrooke. Very big nice open space with lots of seating. This resto-cafe have expanded selection of pastries,sandwiches,pizza,breakfast & lunch. Ordered: ▪︎Smores ▪︎Croissant Supreme It's very goes well with coffee or dessert wine!
