Améa Café se présente comme un espace vaste et élégant, avec une ambiance cosy et lumineuse qui invite aussi bien à travailler qu’à se détendre, et une offre variée de boissons, de pâtisseries et de plats méditerranéens où chaque détail visuel semble soigné. Les avis mettent en avant des desserts et des viennoiseries frais et créatifs, des croissants pistache et des croissants supreme, un café de qualité et des options brunch ou lunch appréciables, parfois complétés par des pizzas ou des plats nourrissants. I've been coming to Amea Café for about 2 years now & have always loved the vibe, which is why this experience was disappointing.
Today, there were only two of us, but we were sitting at a table for four because we both had food, drinks, & our iPads out. There honestly wasn't enough space for us to sit directly across from each other without it being cramped.
A staff member came over & asked us to move & sit together, even though it was clear we had everything set up & were actively using the space. I completely understand that it's a busy café & people come here to work, but when tables are already limited, asking customers to rearrange mid-meal like that felt unnecessary &, to be honest, a bit rude.
I've always enjoyed coming here, but this interaction definitely changed the experience for me. I think there could be a better balance between managing space & respecting customers who are already settled.
Excellent vibes, artistic interior design & wide space. Very cozy environment to chat & work, or just to chill out alone. Kids & adults all have place to stay & find their comfortable zone. Fair price with well attentive staff. Sandwiches is freshly made so during weekend rush hour could be a bit slow, yet pizzas are faster from my observation. Coffee service was efficient. Very innovative & artistic style bathroom as well. Gender neutral.

The food & drinks are good, & the prices are pretty reasonable for a downtown café. The only downside is that it can be hard to find a spot to sit sometimes, especially during busy hours.
Overall, a solid choice if you're looking for a chill place in the city!
The fungi sandwich is certifiably mid. The Shakshouka, however, is pretty good. Coffee is hit or miss, but usually good. The vibe is 10/10. Too bad thy close at 4.
I tried the prosciutto sandwich & a matcha latte with almond milk. The matcha was average, but the sandwich was pretty good. A little pricey (70 something for two) & busy/loud but overall a cute little place in a office building vibe.
The pistachio latte is amazing! Also their croissant (the regular) is so buttery & fluffy, it is absolutely worth going there for it. Their specialty croissant ( pistachio filling) didn't live up to the hype. The dough itself was stale & the filling was too sugary & artificial tasting. The atmosphere though is great for a chill morning. I went there three times just for the vibes!
Came here for brunch & had a wonderful avocado & mushroom crostini. Was not too busy despite coming on a Saturday at 10:30. The decor & vibes were beautiful to enjoy with company or to study. Definitely worth your time to check out if you are in the area.
Had an awesome late morning at Café Améma with my 13-year-old son & nephew on Saturday. The place was buzzing with energy, but the service was still quick & super friendly. Even with the rush, everything came out fresh & fast.
I had the gnocchi, which was packed with flavor, & we shared the burrata so creamy & delicious. The vibe was just right modern, relaxed, & welcoming for all ages.
After a couple of hours of chilling & enjoying ourselves, we realized just how great of a place it was-comfortable, inviting, & the kind of spot you just want to hang out at.
Before heading out, I couldn't resist sneaking in a cannoli for dessert & I'm so glad I did. Perfectly crispy, creamy, & just the right amount of sweet. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

The vibe is fantastic, beautiful spacious place to work, meet friends/colleagues, chill or have a nice brunch/food. Different furniture setups for various preferences. I tried cheese & mushroom toast which was great & a dessert with coffee. They were tasty & great.

It's quieter then, & you'll easily snag the best spot before the lunch rush kicks in. Trust me, after a productive morning meeting in this energetic atmosphere, you'll be ready to dive into their lunch menu. Definitely my new go-to for business meet-ups in Montreal. It's like this café was made for brainstorming & deal-making, all while sipping on great coffee & enjoying the bright, welcoming space. Don't just take my word for it, experience it for yourself!
