Amazing place for studying/working, quick brunch with friends, taking a break from shopping in downtown, etc
Think: wework meets cafe. It's a huge space with plenty of seating & even booths/areas that could be good for having meetings. Seriously, a lot of the furniture/chairs looked similar to what I've seen in my office/weworks.
We came around 8:45 on a Saturday & learned that while the cafe is open early, the kitchen opens at 9am, but they still let us preorder something. We got a pastry, matcha latte, & shakshuka.
The pastry was delicious. It was a tomato & pesto pastry with goat cheese. The pastry was so flaky & soft at the same time. My mom ate the tomato lol but the goat cheese & pesto combo was chefs kiss. Lots of other sweet pastries looked decadent.
The matcha latte (unsweetened) was shockingly great quality. Dark green color, strong matcha flavor, probably the best in the area (though I've only tried a couple matchas). I would highly recommend if you want something that's not grocery store bought quality.
Shakshuka was also one of the best I've had. A lot of times it's watery but this tomato base was thick & flavorful. Little seeds of pomegranate were a nice surprise. The (sourdough?) bread that comes with it was also so good, but it only comes with two slices & since the shakshuka was pretty big portion we had to order more.
Not sure if this is also a public space, but if so it's even better as a place to rest between shopping! Has WiFi, outlets, & restrooms.
Note: I tried to come back a couple days later but on Google Maps it said closed everyday. Not sure if it's bc of vacation.
went in specifically to try the pistachio croissant, but they don't make it every day-which is disappointing, considering it seems to be their bestseller. I made a special trip downtown during rush hour traffic just to try it. Very disappointing.
Super belle découverte! Nous sommes venues pour un brunch, desserts très sucrés, mais super bons!
J'ai pris également un matcha, il était excellent!
Je retournerai volontier là-bas !
Nice space with lots of seating. Food was good but nothing special. Great atmosphere & nice place to relax.
I ate a cinnamon roll & it tasted old. The service is excellent & the installations are beautiful. But the food could be better.
If you have a sweet tooth, the pistachio & strawberry toast is a must (it was so light & delicious & the bread was really soft)
If you want something savory, shakshuka is good however the portion of the toast is not enough to finish all of the shakshuka (if you don't mind eating shakshuka on it's own, try it!)
Food 6/10
Fried chips are too oily
Coffee damn good
Sweet are over rated
I would recommend to have brunch all the for Friday & Saturday as well
Had to wait 5 mins to order a matcha even though there was no line & the staff was just talking & laughing while avoiding eye contact. Then the iced matcha itself had chunks of matcha powder. If im paying 10$ for matcha at least blend it well. The staff, service, & food at the food section is great though. The drinks staff gotta lock in. This is my first ever review on anything bc it was just that bad.
