Really enjoyed Amea Café! the coffee was great & the service was super friendly. Such a nice spot, definitely coming back:)
Insgesamt empfehlenswert. Abzug wegen Kälte, Preis und Lärm.
Amazing place for studying/working, quick brunch with friends, taking a break from shopping in downtown, etc
Think: wework meets cafe. It's a huge space with plenty of seating & even booths/areas that could be good for having meetings. Seriously, a lot of the furniture/chairs looked similar to what I've seen in my office/weworks.
We came around 8:45 on a Saturday & learned that while the cafe is open early, the kitchen opens at 9am, but they still let us preorder something. We got a pastry, matcha latte, & shakshuka.
The pastry was delicious. It was a tomato & pesto pastry with goat cheese. The pastry was so flaky & soft at the same time. My mom ate the tomato lol but the goat cheese & pesto combo was chefs kiss. Lots of other sweet pastries looked decadent.
The matcha latte (unsweetened) was shockingly great quality. Dark green color, strong matcha flavor, probably the best in the area (though I've only tried a couple matchas). I would highly recommend if you want something that's not grocery store bought quality.
Shakshuka was also one of the best I've had. A lot of times it's watery but this tomato base was thick & flavorful. Little seeds of pomegranate were a nice surprise. The (sourdough?) bread that comes with it was also so good, but it only comes with two slices & since the shakshuka was pretty big portion we had to order more.
Not sure if this is also a public space, but if so it's even better as a place to rest between shopping! Has WiFi, outlets, & restrooms.
Note: I tried to come back a couple days later but on Google Maps it said closed everyday. Not sure if it's bc of vacation.
Really cute cafe. Love to study & work remote here but certain spots don't allow laptops during 12:00 & 2:30. Plus there are very few outlets so if your laptop doesn't hold a charge well you'll probably be out of luck.
The quality & the presentation of the food is absolutely stunning. Many other desserts & plates are instagram worthy of pictures. The day that I went the restaurant or cafe was busy. I just wish they would have provided more of a service environment in the sense of serving clients at their tables. Again, the food was great.Excellent value for the quantity of food as well
It's an amazing place one of the best cafés in downtown. They have a variety of food & drinks. You can go there to work on your laptop or just chill.
This has got to be the best cafe Montreal has to offer. I came here on my first day in the city & have come back every single day since. The food is truly incredible! Also, the staff are very friendly & can speak both English & French. My favourite item on the menu was the shakshuka but the avocado gravlax toast was a close second. I would recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Montreal.
