Review Summary

Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill staff were absolutely amazing, described as attentive, helpful and friendly, and their hustle helps balance a pub with a well worn charm and a cozy, old school vibe. The atmosphere is lively with a classic pub feel, comfortable booths and wooden chairs, and live music on weekends adds energy, though portions of the space and decor can feel dated. The food narrative is mixed: burgers such as the Orchard Burger and Jameson Burger were sizeable but generally unimpressive in taste, fries were not consistently fresh, wings came with underwhelming portions, and the Crispy chicken burger was overcooked; a nachos order had a great salsa but sparse toppings, and an onion soup reportedly tasted watered down, yet some dishes like bangers and mash, fish and chips, braised beef and a strawberry cheesecake earned praise elsewhere for hearty portions and solid flavor. Value is questioned by some for the price relative to quality, and service experiences range from consistently good and attentive to slower or inconsistent with miscommunications about water or orders, though the staff generally remain friendly and welcoming. The overall takeaway is that Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill delivers a memorable pub atmosphere and hospitality, with strong live music and many positive notes on the vibe, while kitchen consistency and menu execution vary enough that some guests leave eager to return for the ambiance and others hesitant about the value.

I want to start put by saying that the staff were absolutely amazing. Attentive, helpful, friendly & they hustled, big time.

The atmosphere was alright. It definitely has a well worn feel to it, as a pub should. The booths were comfortable, the wooden chairs, not so much. The tables also felt a little on the smaller side but all of this just kind of adds to that'pub experience' & it was fine. The big let down for us, was the food. It wasn't bad but it doesn't impress in any way. It was'ok'. We all described our dishes as'uninspired'. My son & I had burgers. They were the Orchard Burger & the Jameson Burger. They were sizeable but simply'unimpressive' in terms of taste. Our fries were warm & cold & also'unimpressive', they did not feel as though they were fresh. My wife had chicken wings, listed as'half kilo' on the menu & turned out to be 5 wings with fries. She was very disappointed in portion & flavor at over $20. Our daughter had the Crispy chicken burger & said it simply had no taste & was WAY overcooked,'like trying to bite it to a hockey puck'. We ordered a nachos entry as well that featured an amazing salsa but had very little cheese or toppings otherwise. My wife wanted an onion soup entree as well but decided against it after reading reviews about it. As it turns out, someone next to us ordered it & was extremely disappointed in the quality. He said it seemed'watered down' lacked the bold taste that one would expect from a good onion soup & it was served with salad croutons instead of bread.

The price of this food is way over the quality that you would expect at said prices & we felt put off by the bill after we had eaten what was presented to us. $158.73 with no drinks. Water & 2 softdrinks.

Bathrooms also left a bit to be desired. Not horrible but not inviting.

Again, the staff were absolutely amazing but the kitchen needs a serious upgrade in output quality.

We will not be going back.

Bangers & Mash, Fish & Chips, & Braised Beef were all excellent, as was the strawberry cheesecake we had. BUT, after our order was taken & the food brought to our table by a busboy or another waiter, our waitress (don't know her name) essentially disappeared & didn't check to see if we were good or wanted more drinks or anything.

While I cannot comment on the food, my husband & I stopped here on a Saturday night for some drinks & to see the live band & boy did we have an unexpectedly fun time. The band [Wickermen] we absolutely amazing & put on a great show. Aside from that the hospitality of the staff were amazing. Right when we walked in Lee found us a seat at the bar right in the middle of the action. He asked us about ourselves & even treated us to some drinks after ! We are from out of town & have never experienced such hospitality! Such a more genuine & fun vibe than the St. Sau Pub up the road. Keep it up :)

I've been to the pub about ten times now & the food, service & atmosphere are all top notch! The fries are to die for, the bacon n blue cheese burger is delicious & all the curry dishes are exceptionally tasty. They have many brands of beer on tap & the mixed drinks are really good too. Twice a month they have live bands & the place is rocking at those events. The part of the bar with the stage always ends up like a small house party: patrons dancing & singing along; open & friendly guests. They staff are extremely friendly & accommodating. If you're in St Sauveur, check this place out as I know you won't be disappointed.

Great little secret spot for great pub food, live music on the terrace Fri/Sat summer. Budget friendly less than $$$ for two including Table d'Hôte & drinks.

Love coming here with friends. Great food, drinks & service. Nice ambience & terrace. Sometimes the live music can be too loud (I’m getting old I think) but there’s the option of quieter areas in another section or upstairs. Highly recommend.
