Walked a couple blocks & found a pub with a live band. It was this vintage log cabin vibe, & I asked the bartender if there was a seat at the bar because I was solo. After less than a minute a lovely man got up & pulled his seat out for me. I enjoyed an incredible plate of braised beef with a stout gravy, the playlist & band Shinedown was fabulous. The girls behind the bar were so thoughtful (hello grapefruit gin!) & accommodating. It was so comfortable & plesant that for just a minute, I felt like I was back @theblackknightpub table with my friends. I highly recommend this place for travellers or group. I was even invited up to dance with some friendly locals before I left. I did manage to grab a slice of triple chocolate cake to-go! Quiet atmosphere at noon. Comfy ambiance. Exceptional service from Marie-Claude. Fluently bilingual. Sense of humour. Tasty food. Much prefer at noon when it is quiet. Highly recommended.

I recently tried the French onion soup, priced at $12, & I must say, I was quite disappointed. The most noticeable drawback was the use of salad croutons on top, a stark departure from the traditional slice of bread. This change significantly detracted from the overall experience, as the croutons failed to offer the hearty, absorbent quality that a good piece of bread provides. Moreover, the soup was noticeably lacking in cheese - a crucial element that usually adds a rich, savory depth. Without a sufficient amount of cheese, the soup missed that delightful, melted goodness that is characteristic of a classic French onion soup. In terms of flavor, the soup didn't stand out. It lacked the robust onion essence, & the broth was rather underwhelming. This was quite surprising, especially for a soup at this price point, where one would expect a memorable taste experience. On a positive note, the service was absolutely pleasant. The staff was courteous & attentive, which I genuinely appreciated. However, when it comes to the soup itself, it's a letdown. It fails to live up to the expectations set by its price, & it's not something I would recommend or order again.

Love coming here with friends. Great food, drinks & service. Nice ambience & terrace. Sometimes the live music can be too loud (I’m getting old I think) but there’s the option of quieter areas in another section or upstairs. Highly recommend.
