The place decor is nice, it got a separated area for drinks & food. They are specialized in matcha drinks/ ice cream. I took the regular matcha ice cream parfait, but I found the taste too bitter! The combination of the things inside does not work well together. I don't know, left disappointed mainly because of the too much bitter taste of matcha.

My former favorite has become increasingly unpalatable. The matcha latte is bland, & the ice cream is loaded with a bunch of random, unremarkable toppings to justify spending $10. The price has gone up, but the quality has declined. The ambiance is also worse; it used to be quiet & elegant, but now it feels like a market, where you have to shout to order. The counter is so wide that you have to lean forward to barely communicate with the staff.
Everything matcha is delicious...best matcha ice cream. The soft serve is so good! Also very good ramen & poke bowls. Great casual dinner or dropping in for dessert. The parfaits are amazing. Wish they stayed open later in the summer though.
Tsujiri is THE most famous green tea brand in all Japan. Consequently they usually also have the best dark green tea ice cream in the world. However at this branch they did not offer the typical 3 flavor tiers of green tea ice cream (mild, medium, dark) & only the generic mild which is not what they are famous for… yuzu tea is good. Otherwise I do not recommend. Zenmai Matcha around the corner has a slightly better generic mild green tea ice cream (probably Maeda-En supplier?)
I like the atmosphere of this place. I've been here a couple times & its usually packed so there can be a little wait for seating. The matcha is very strong & not too sweet, but it is a little pricey. After tax I paid a little over $10 for a matcha latte, but it is very tasty. The dessert is good as well. I also love that there is free wifi & outlets to charge your devices. Next time im definitely trying their ice cream!
I loved the matcha ice cream with mochis! The matcha flavor is rich & makes the ice cream feel light instead of heavy & creamy. It's super refreshing & not too sweet at all!
However, I didn't like that they added about half a cup of jelly, it was way too much & really affected the overall taste & texture of the ice cream. On the plus side, I enjoyed the red bean; its sweetness balanced the ice cream nicely, keeping it from being just bitter matcha with a light texture, & making it sweeter & more flavorful overall.
The portion is a little small, but this is a great spot to hang out, study, or just relax.
They have great quality matcha for the price, & it's bigger shop than imagined. With modern & calm room decorations that's black. & oh, I love their ice cream! I am a big Matcha fan, so I love that their matcha desserts & drinks taste more'bitter' & tea-like than your usual matcha store. They also offer free wifi, since there are a lot of students around. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a good study place there. During the many times I went there, it's often crowded & kind of noisy.
