The Keg Steakhouse + Bar opened the doors of its first restaurant in 1971 in Vancouver. Since then, The Keg has expanded across Canada and the US to include over 100 locations. The Keg in Old Montreal never disappoints! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm & attentive. The ambiance perfectly blends cozy & elegant, with beautiful stone walls & low lighting that make it feel extra special.
We ordered the filet mignon & rib steak ; both were cooked to perfection & full of flavor. The sides were just as impressive, especially the garlic mashed potatoes & seasonal vegetables. The cocktails were also excellent, & their wine selection paired beautifully with the meal.
What really stood out was the service , our server was friendly, knowledgeable, & timed everything perfectly. Whether you're celebrating something special or just enjoying a great night out, The Keg in Vieux Montréal is a top-notch choice. Highly recommend making a reservation!View more

We arrived late after having called to notify them about the traffic situation. The reception was very accommodating. Once we arrived, we were immediately seated.
Our waitress Samantha, was unbelievable. Genuinely friendly, kind, smiling from the first moment. She answered all our questions & made it seem that anything was possible. Food arrived on time, & the steak prepared exactly as per our order. She came back several times to be sure all was going well. We never felt rushed nor had any perception of overselling. We had been told to try the Keg when in Canada so went to the outlet in Old Montreal close to our hotel.
Solid food without being spectacular. We both had steaks, mine with the famous double cooked potatoes, a side of the Caesar Brussel Sprouts, with a bottle of Malbec. Steaks were cooked well, generous portions all round (the potatoes were good!) & service was prompt & attentive.
There are probably better restaurants in Montreal but what the Keg does they do well & at a reasonable price point which probably explains why there are so many Keg restaurants in Canada.View more

Les banquettes auraient besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement vu leur usure & le plancher de la salle de bain des hommes manquait définitivement d'hygiène.

Le serveur était proactif, s'assurant que tout était ok pour nous. Grand choix de viande au menu & la cuisson du steak que j'ai commandé était parfaite.

Top 3 one of the best steakhouse in Montreal, all beef are dry aged to the perfection with a very good portion of food, you will not leave this place hungry, that's for sure. Overall, service was impeccable with a very chill atmosphere! Highly recommend the rib steakView more

While I have to say that generally… a Keg is a Keg is a Keg. This place is SPECIAL! I rarely wander with their menu, it's the Wedge Salad with blue cheese dressing & a baseball sirloin Cooke rare Chicago style. Both were SPECTACULAR! The steak was perfect & the salad was over the top. On top of this the level of service received from the hosts to our awesome waiter was excellent. We will 1000% be back! Valentine's Day review : Honestly hands down the best location. We got a nice spot in the bar at 3:30 on vday before the crowd came. Our waiter Greg was nice we had a nice experience. I would recommend the wedge salad with blue cheese.
March 5th review: 10 stars go to Danielle he was the best waiter we ever had & really cares about his job. He explained all the specials which was nice. He offered us the three cheese butter ( if you don't ask usually they won't give it to you but you need to try it ) for the warm bread & gave us a larger portion of butter then they usually do.
The twice baked potatoe was not rushed so made with love. Loads of bacon bits & super creamy. Got so many more veggies this time around & the steak was great & cooked to perfection.
Check out my boyfriend's lobster tail they killed it even with the butter my goodness ! Usually they give you the normal clear butter but the one we got was way better & I forget the name but it's not served at the other kegs.View more

The Keg was easily the best meal my group had on our weekend in Montreal. The four of us all got steaks & a couple cocktails. Between us we had a prime rib, a top sirloin, & 2 filet mignon. They were all top quality & well prepared. One of our group had a food allergy. The manager came to our table to assure us of the precautions the kitchen was taking to ensure the food was safe for her allergy. The service was great. Prompt, friendly, & attentive the entire time. The atmosphere in the lounge was relaxed but upscale. Overall wonderful experience!View more

This is a really nice steakhouse in the heart of Old Montreal. We just walked in on a busy night, the wait was 45 mins, but they took my number to text us when they were ready. Remembered me when we came back. The food was fast & fresh. We couldn't even try the dessert we got so stuffed. The escargot appetizer was terrific. The Kansas City steak & the Lobster tail entrees really hit it out of the park.View more

J'ai pris un contre-filet New-York au poivre, saignant. Patates farcies gratinée en accompagnement. Globalement, mon repas n'était pas tant mémorable à mon avis, mais c'est peut-être que je ne suis pas tant un fan de steak. C'était bon quand même au final! Cuit à point. Je tenais à prendre le temps de laisser une note très positive suite à l'expérience de ma récente visite au Keg dans le Vieux-Montréal. Je suis venu avec un ami il y a quelques jours & nous avons tout d'abord été très bien accueillis par Jacob à l'entrée pour prendre notre réservation. Jeune homme charmant, courtois, sympathique & professionnel. Une fois assis à la table, nous avons été chanceux d'être servis par Samantha qui nous a offert un service 5 étoiles. Samantha s'est montrée à la fois patiente, charmante, avec des touches d'humour, courtoise & très professionnelle. Elle m'a vraiment laissé une très bonne impression! Si vous avez la chance de tomber sur elle, vous serez entre de très bonnes mains! Niveau nourriture, c'est un très bon steak house. Vous ferez le bon choix en allant à ce resto.
