Reserved a seat for 2pm Saturday, just a couple of tables away from the water view! I had the filet mignon & my wife had the lobster rolls, both were amazing. Charcoal on the steak was great, just wish they had a better sauce for it Great location for an upscale scenery !

Beautiful space with excellent views. I've eaten there several times but found the same dishes to be inconsistently prepared. Sometimes missing ingredients or cooked differently. But it's always still pretty good.

We knew we wanted to stay in the Old Montreal area so we can easily walk the neighborhood attractions (river only 2 blocks away- don't skip the ferris wheel views!) & access to great restaurants but have never visited Montreal before so were choosing our hotel blindly. I later learned that locals enjoy this hotel a lot so they clearly have a good local reputation. Our group stayed in early Sept 2023 & our stay was made extra enjoyable by Chris & Shalana - honestly, the entire team from valet parking to check-in to reservations was friendly & helpful. Rooms were styled in a moody lofty modern way & were very clean - we would definitely recommend this hotel. We drove in but left our car with valet the remaining 3-nights & mostly walked (this area was very heavy with pedestrians so would not be easy to navigate by car but didn't need it anyway), & only took an Uber to the Botanical Gardens (can easily spend all day there) & scored a great dinner reservation at Liverpool House which was not in easy walking distance. We also enjoyed dinner one night at the hotel - very lively & festive atmosphere & great for cocktails & a light dinner. I don't remember the other restaurant names but within walking distance we had crepes, poutine & the cutest cafe's for breakfast, we basically ate our way thru the City. My only wish is that they had more rooms with double-queen beds so I can go back with other family/friends that I don't want to share a bed. Mostly King beds which are perfect for romantic getaways. Overall Old Montreal was incredibly beautiful & Hotel Nelligan made a great location from which to explore.

1ère visite à cette terrasse, attente prévue par l'"hotesse" de 35 minutes, on accepte.
Mais pas de place pour attendre, avc nos verres dans la main, on est ballotté d'une place à l' autre.
Attente de plus d'une heure, & plusieurs personnes ont èté assis avant nous.
On nous promet une table, mais finalement ce sont 4 personnes qui y vont, quand on en parle avec l'hotesse, elle repond que cest une autre table, mais que les clients n'ont pas quitté encore.
Finalement on nous propose une place sur la terrase elevée où la table est pour 4 personnes & 2 personnes sur une table á côté......en demandant si on pouvait rapprocher les tables l'hotesse répond que non , cest ça seulement qu'elle peut nous offrir & elle s' en va.
À peine assis que la table "promise" se vide, on demande d'être transféré, l'hotesse dit qu'elle a dèjá do né la table à qqn d'autre & ne peut rien nous offrir. En plus que la table pour 6 a été séparèe pour un groupe de 4 personnes & une table pour 2. (Comme on nous fait assoir).
la serveuse ètait gentille mais l'hotesse avait une attitude arrogante.
Je ne peux pas croire qu'elle n'a pas pu accomoder 6 personnes. Elle aurait pu dire non & ne pas nous faire attenre plus d'une heure.
Le view n'est pas fameux.
Je ne retournerai pas .

Had a few drinks on the terrasse. Great views, ambiance, food, & service. The shrimp appetizer was amazing.
