I am from NYC & was very happy to find an authentic vietnamese restaurant in Montreal. We had the banh xeo & banh cuon. My friend is chinese & her first time eating something else at a Vietnamese restaurant other than pho. She was amazed how delicious the foods was. We both enjoyed our meal & finished it off with dessert. Che 3 mau. The lady in the kitchen came out to ask us for review of the foods. She is authentic vietnamese lady so & the foods is fabulous. I will take my families when I am back visiting Montreal.
Big fan of the wide menu here. The grilled meats, appetizers, & bánh ??t (rice rolls) are all delicious! Pho was a bit of a letdown, but everything else was satisfying.
They completely forgot our order which made me a bit upset & I thought about giving them 4 stars for the poor service but their food instantly extinguished that idea from my mind.
Absolutly delicious Banh hoi & the red win pho is to die for.

We waited for a long time for our food. It could be because the kitchen was backed up with orders due to the need to prepare food for the two larger parties. The table next to us came much later & they have their dishes at the same time as us. For the pho, the noodles stuck together, the soup was not hot, & considering we ordered the all in pho, we expect there to be more than 2-3 slices of beef. For the Banh uot thit nuong, the steam rice noodles also stuck together. For the 3 dinners in Montreal, this one has been the worst.
Food was ok, we have had better pho at other places. The Pho had no chop suey for you to add. We decided to come to this place because we saw a special dish that we wanted to try, when we asked about it they said it was not available until next month. Once order was placed, it took quite sometime before the food was served. Just as we were starting to have some of the appetizers they came to advise again that they did not have one of the appetizers that we ordered & asked if we wanted to substitute with something else. At this point some of the guest said forget it as it was already taking long to get our food. Overall it was a disappointing experience as I was expecting to wow my guests.
We ordered in & started with the wonton soup, which was absolutely delicious & easily my favorite part of the meal. My husband really enjoyed it too. He also had the vegetarian imperial rolls & was a big fan.
We shared the Banh Hoi Thit Nuong (grilled pork), a go-to for me when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, & the grilled beef with rice. Both meats had a nice grilled char flavor that we appreciated.
That said, I was expecting a little more overall based on the reviews & photos. It also felt a little overpriced for what it was. Still, everything was pretty good. We'd definitely order the soup again, possibly even visit in person just for that.
Went with a friend I'd travelled to Vietnam with… food exactly as we had over there & haven't properly been able to locate here. & dishes beyond the standard Viet resto offerings of pho, spring rolls & grilled proteins.

Try the banh xèo & banh tom Hà N?i. 10/10 would go again in a heartbeat.
