Sweet Lee's is a cozy European-style café & bakery in Verdun that feels both welcoming & thoughtfully designed. The space is bright, recently renovated, & filled with natural light, with plenty of comfortable seating. It works well whether you're meeting a friend, taking a break during a walk on Wellington, or spending some quiet time with a laptop.
Their menu offers a nice variety of baked goods, fresh bread, sandwiches, & desserts. The pastries are well-made & consistently good, & the coffee is solid & enjoyable. It's the kind of place where you can actually taste the care put into the food rather than just admire it on Instagram.
The staff are generally friendly & helpful, though service can occasionally be a bit slow during busy hours. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but that's fairly standard for cafés in this area & feels reasonable given the quality & atmosphere.
Overall, Sweet Lee's is a charming neighborhood spot with good coffee, tasty pastries, & a calm, pleasant vibe. It's not trying to be flashy, & that's exactly why it works. A lovely place to stop, sit, & slow down for a while.
September 2025- Lunch - Nice place that deserves to be discovered on Wellington street - LaSalle.
Very average… I gave this spot multiple chances & I think today was the last one. Every time I went, I didn't find the staff very pleasant. & regarding the food, today I paid almost $7 a day old croissant (smashed) with some pistachio spread + pieces on it, it wasn't great, the price should be lowered. I don't really recommend that spot on Rue Wellington/Verdun.

Le café est situé sur la rue Wellington. Après une promenade (la rue est piétonne durant l'été), je m'y suis arrêtée pour prendre un café. J'ai tellement aimé l'endroit que je suis resté pendant quelques heures.
Je le recommande vivement !
Love this coffee shop. Its not too crowded compared to other spots on wellington street & plenty of room between the tables. The desserts menu is great & they have cute mugs. Great for studying or catching up. Staff are super kind too.
Nice atmosphere on Wellington. We stopped in for dessert & coffee while on a walk, the bright atmosphere drew us in. However the coffee & dessert were average. While I was not familiar with this café previously, it seems they have changed ownership & completely renovated the interior. It is beautiful inside & is a nice place to take a break.
Always a great time at Sweet Lee's. Great food, drinks, & people. A staple of Wellington.

I loved it here before but the service has become slow, inconsistent quality with the drinks, & is still expensive. Honestly, there are options that do things better just steps away such as Bulangerie Wellington or Café Saint Henri.
