Easily the best coffee on Wellington Street. A special thank you for the Victor Tsoy songs, they made the experience even more memorable!
I visited this bakery & ordered cappuccinos along with a variety of pastries for the family. Everything tasted great, & the quality of the pastries was impressive. The place was a bit crowded, but that's usually a good sign for a bakery.
The only thing that felt a bit odd was the interaction at the counter. The lady with glasses who took our order would reply in English when spoken to in French, & in French when spoken to in English. It wasn't a big issue, just a funny & slightly confusing moment. 😊
Overall, the food & coffee were excellent, & it's definitely worth stopping by!
Sweet Lee's is a cozy European-style café & bakery in Verdun that feels both welcoming & thoughtfully designed. The space is bright, recently renovated, & filled with natural light, with plenty of comfortable seating. It works well whether you're meeting a friend, taking a break during a walk on Wellington, or spending some quiet time with a laptop.
Their menu offers a nice variety of baked goods, fresh bread, sandwiches, & desserts. The pastries are well-made & consistently good, & the coffee is solid & enjoyable. It's the kind of place where you can actually taste the care put into the food rather than just admire it on Instagram.
The staff are generally friendly & helpful, though service can occasionally be a bit slow during busy hours. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but that's fairly standard for cafés in this area & feels reasonable given the quality & atmosphere.
Overall, Sweet Lee's is a charming neighborhood spot with good coffee, tasty pastries, & a calm, pleasant vibe. It's not trying to be flashy, & that's exactly why it works. A lovely place to stop, sit, & slow down for a while.
Not worth the money. The Filtered coffee is bland & boring & their almond croissants are discussing. Underbaked, soggy squished bread with artificial flavouring. No soft or crunchy texture you expect from a croissant.
nice coffee place, a little overpriced, but good to sit down, relax or study
While the staff is kind & nice, the service is absolutely terrible. Yes, it was a Saturday so there was crowd, but I have been to other cafe's in Montreal where it's equally, if not more crowded (cafe Olympico in Place des arts for example), we got an unclean table, they served us cold Cappuccino & latte & a plate of patisseries with no fork or spoons, the coffee & the patisserie was meh. Overall such a mid experience in a beautifully decorated cafe.
The quote'not all that glitters is gold' is for made for places like this.
We only stopped for a dessert & a iced coffee, wish we could've tried their sandwiches which looks so good
Good location, pretty interior, but ambiance could be better, just people talking or walking ( you can hear people's footsteps when they walk) a little music would've been better. also that day was hot & the AC wasn't working maybe
but overall, loved everything. coffee & our cake was delicious! definitely going back to try other things
Love this coffee shop. Its not too crowded compared to other spots on wellington street & plenty of room between the tables. The desserts menu is great & they have cute mugs. Great for studying or catching up. Staff are super kind too.
Great selection of coffee options as well as sweet & savoury pastries (including more filling menu items). There are lots of tables & the there's a good variety of comfortable seating options making this a great spot to set up for both short meet-ups & longer sit-ins. Outlets along most of the walls & nice lighting. I had the chocolate hazelnut croissant which was delicious. I definitely recommend this lovely spot.
Nice atmosphere on Wellington. We stopped in for dessert & coffee while on a walk, the bright atmosphere drew us in. However the coffee & dessert were average. While I was not familiar with this café previously, it seems they have changed ownership & completely renovated the interior. It is beautiful inside & is a nice place to take a break.
This is a beautiful café, but the service when I went was terrible, & the food was at best mediocre. There were only two people working on a busy Sunday afternoon, & it took about 15 minutes to put in an order at the counter. Coffee came with no spoon, there were no clean water glasses left, & the croissant was cold & rubbery- not so different from the six packs at IGA In the plastic containers. My friend's croissant sandwich was also cold. So yay for the decor, but if you can't get a croissant right in Montreal, don't serve them.
Nice coffee to have breakfast, brunch, or just have a nice drink. The location is perfect, & the decoration is really good (definitely unexpected since the name gave me a different vibe). The service is quick, kind, & definitely good. The food is simple & delicious. The bonus: the flavoured water they serve. Definitely coming back :)
Absolutely wonderful experice. The place is beautiful, the staff are delightful & the coffee & the baked goods are excellent. Well located in Verdun's heart. Do yourself a favour & check out this place..
Americano has one size! When they offer you two size, there is something wrong. The tase if coffee wasn't good. Their service is fine.
Great atmosphère & great food... Oops, the place has changed. More tables, but large plush chairs, no more funky music, less food choices, less intimate atmosphere but the coffee is still awesome at least. Decidedly less of a fan.
Great place for a girls hangout! Good coffee & pastries but wasn't a huge fan of the sandwich options personally.
