Need to mention that the service is absolutely the best! The team is super friendly & very welcoming! They explain every detail & take their time! The food is also great but the service is on another level! Keep it up! Found it a bit expensive though!
The sushi here is fantastic! Amazing presentation, amazing flavor, & you can get aged kanpachi which is one of my faves. Even though I typically just get nigiri & sashimi, we did try one of their rolls & it was also of amazing quality.
However the atmosphere is not at all what we're used to in Japan & California--it's a weird mashup of European formal & Japanese. The lighting is dark & the atmosphere quiet.
Sitting at the sushi bar is NOT like what sitting at the sushi bar is supposed to be. There is no interaction with the sushi chefs, even though they are right there. & we had to order from a waiter by the nature of sitting at the sushi bar, stood behind us--which makes for an odd, detached experience.
All that said, it is the best nigiri & sashimi I've been able to find in Montreal so far.
Très belle endroit, tout est délicieux (de ce qu'on a mangé) belle expérience au bar à sushi mais. Avoir un comptoir vitré pour voir la préparation. Serait encore mieux,, malheureusement on voit rien de plus que des haut de corps de gars qui font des sushis ! On c'est fait offrir de l'eau ou de l'eau pétillante par le serveur sans savoir qu'il nous charge 12 $ la bouteille sur la facture ,,
Mais sinon les saveur & l'´ambiance est A1

Best sushi I've ever had, no contest. Honestly, I didn't even realize what real sushi could taste like until this dinner.
I went in telling our server, Ray, that I'm not usually a fan of raw fish, & he completely changed my perspective. He explained how they dry-age their fish to deepen & enhance the flavor, & wow… every single bite was an adventure. I've never experienced anything like it.
Everything we tried was incredible & absolutely worth every penny. You won't find sushi like this anywhere, unless maybe you're in Japan.
Ray made the whole night unforgettable. He guided us through the menu perfectly, was so warm & welcoming, & shared stories from his travels exploring sushi around the world. Our glasses were never empty, the food came out quickly, & he checked in just the right amount.
This place has officially ruined all other sushi spots for me forever.

The ambience & food were incredible! The sushi was like an orgasm for my mouth. The AKA cocktail, cheesecake, & tuna noodles were the highlights of the meal.
My husband & I came here to celebrate his 40th birthday. Our server, Mila, was wonderful is helping guide us through the menu, pouring our drinks, offering suggestions, & taking away our plates before our next dish came out.
This is the best sushi we have had by far. The freshness of each plate combined with the vegetables to enhance the sauces, the glazes, or to help cleanse the palate; the plating was gorgeous.
If you ever want to have great sushi & splurge for a special occasion, Hidden Fish is a great option. We'll be returning again.

Amazing experience, the service was amazing. Our server & bartender were knowledgeable & attentive & great to chat with. I had the aged premium chefs choice sashimi & the chefs choice nigiri; along with a few of the premium nigiri options. Well worth the price tag, an overall exceptional experience all around. I'm a huge cocktail & sushi enthusiast; The bartender explained some of his signature cocktails & i was very pleased by the drinks provided, they were creative & delicious. Our server was helpful giving us ideas of places to explore in the city & was very friendly. The fish quality & freshness, presentation, timing of plates & courses, & atmosphere left nothing to be desired!

The sushi here is outstanding. each roll is prepared to perfection; delicious art. We try to eat at Hidden Fish as often as possible. Definitely 5 stars.
