The waiting line is always crazy like in photo. Actually there is another same one one block away down the street with no line...seems like nobody knows 😂. My recommendation is to bring the 🥯 & grab a cup of ☕ enjoy at the outdoor seating at Café Olimpico - Mile End :)
On visite l'endroit parce que les bagels sont très bons & variés, & parce que c'est un endroit significatif où l'on prépare devant nous des bagels de façon traditionnelle. Par contre, l'endroit est très petit, on ne peut pas y manger sur place, & on y accepte que l'argent comptant.
Tasty hot bagels ready to devour seven days a week. So many great flavours to choose from but the classic sesame is my go to bagel every time I come in. Yes Montreal is known for great bagels but St-Viateur has been paving the way for everyone to carry on the tradition.
By far my favourite bagels. What an institution. Come on, bagels from a wood burning oven, fantastic. Hate going back to Toronto dealing with just decent bagels after St.Viateu
Très bons bagels cuits devant vous au feu de bois mais un peu surcôté. Le moins cher monte tout de même à 1.30 $CA en mai 2025. Il était a 0.90 il y a 2 ans !!
Ça sent de plus en plus l'attrape touristes.
Pas de possibilité de s'asseoir pour manger dans la boutique.

This was a really cool spot for Montreal culture. The place had a retro vibe, & I know this makes me sound like a maniac, but the blueberry bagel I got here was so tasty I ate it without anything on it.
Beaucoup de gens semblent confondre le St-Viateur Bagel de la rue Saint Viateur avec le St-Viateur Bage & Café de l'avenue Mont-Royal. La succursale sur Saint Viateur n'a pas de places assises ni des repas & cafés comme on voit sur plusieurs photos de commentaires…
The traditional bagel sandwich was excellent. This place definitely deserves all the hype it gets. The toasted sesame seeds was chef's kiss 👨🏾?🍳 also the half dozen/dozen bagels were relatively cheap which is great :)
