St-Viateur Bagel is absolutely worth a stop when you're in Montréal. The bagels are fresh, chewy, & have that classic wood-fired flavor that makes them stand out from a typical bagel shop. The whole experience is simple, fast, & feels like a true Montréal staple. Definitely one of those places you should try at least once while you're in the city.

You can smell the aroma of St. Viateur around the block with the line ups also around the block & for good reason.

Wood oven baked bagels that are only for take out. A Montréal must try!

I have never seen a bagel shop so busy. Line out the door & down the street. The assembly line of service was impressive to watch. Best to walk or take some kind of transit to this place, parking is almost impossible

One of the best bagels I've ever had! I tried the spicy everything with jalapeno, which was definitely recommended. The classic Joe was a perfect combination. You can taste the wood-fired freshness in these bagels.

If you're looking for a sandwich, head to the sandwich bar. They have special combos, & the cream cheese on the bagels may require a wait, but it moves pretty fast. Well worth it!

If you just want a bag of freshly baked hot bagels without any extras, there's a bagel bar right next door. No wait!

I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of their combinations.

Their homemade iced tea was also good - just the right amount of sweetness.
