I've loved Spirulina Cafés for years & have always had great experiences at other locations, which is why this visit was so disappointing.
I placed a pickup order at 11:50, & only received it at 12:20, meaning I waited about 20 minutes past the pickup time. At one point, there was even confusion about my order being cancelled, which may have caused a small delay - but even taking that into account, the wait felt excessive for a simple smoothie & a salad that is usually pre-prepared. Knowing this cafe in its other locations, I know it is not normal. Because of this delay, I ended up missing an appointment.
What was especially frustrating is that customers who ordered at the counter after me were served almost immediately, while my prepaid pickup order seemed to be overlooked. For a café meant to be convenient & efficient for people grabbing something quickly, this really defeats the purpose of ordering ahead.
That said, I genuinely felt for the staff - they seemed very understaffed & overwhelmed, & it didn't look like they were set up to handle rushes properly. I want to highlight Creation, who was very kind, helpful, & professional despite the situation. Unfortunately, the experience at the cash felt less helpful overall, even considering how busy it was.
It's just unfortunate because this location is so well-situated & has the potential to be a great grab-&-go spot, but if service continues to be this slow, it becomes impractical to stop by.
I really hope this location improves its organization & pickup order process, because Spirulina has always been a go-to for me, & I'd love to see this location meet the same standard as the others.

Spirulina has been our go-to for healthy lunch or smoothies for 2 years but this new Sherbrooke location is amazing! Lots of seating, light, airy ambiance & the menu we love. There are also lots of new items for sale here too in the expanded space. Whether you need a snack, coffee, matcha, smoothie or a proper lunch, Spirulina is an excellent choice.

Le café Spirulina a été une très belle découverte ! Les plats sont vraiment délicieux, préparés avec des ingrédients frais & de qualité. On sent qu'il y a un vrai souci du détail & un goût pour les bonnes choses. L'ambiance est conviviale, le personnel est accueillant & l'on s'y sent immédiatement à l'aise. Une adresse à ne pas manquer : je recommande sans hésiter !

Got the Dates Matcha & Pumpin Spice Matcha ~ about 7$ ea. Drinks & service were excellent!
* Definitely not a space where you can work or sit & yap, but still an amazing location.
