Au cours de sa tournée nord-américaine, la Superstar grecque Mihalis Hatzigiannis a découvert Melina Mammas, une jeune chanteuse grecque canadienne, fille de Lawrence Mammas, et a été invitée à dîner à La Belle & La Boeuf où il a été tellement impressionné par le groupe qu’il a proposé un partenariat pour apporter une cuisine authentique grecque Souvlaki, avec un concept Foodtastic à Montréal. Voilà que Souvlaki Bar est né, ouvrant notre premier magasin le 12 septembre 2014. Plus de 5000 personnes ont assisté à la grande fête d’ouverture où Mihalis et Melina ont joué à l’extérieur devant plusieurs fans heureux. First time visiting a Souvlaki Bar. Our server, Alina was amazing & helped explain menu items to us. We were here late so not many patrons were still here.
We ordered the chicken stick plate, a pita wrap & the Greek meatball plate. I butchered the names of our meals sorry. The portions & food was great. We truly enjoyed a nice hot meal on a cold night. We highly recommend. All the staff were very courteous. It seemed like we were greeted & bid farewell by 3 employees upon entrance & exit.

Came in the other day with colleagues of mine for a goodbye party & sadly my experience wasn't up to par. At the start we had a nice woman ask if we wanted anything to drink yet (only two of us had arrived at the time) my colleague took something but I didn't (I hadn't really looked at the options yet). She brought us both glasses of water .Maybe 30 minutes/ An hour later , everyone arrived & another male server came to ask one of my colleague if she wanted something to drink (mind you she's in front of me) , I also wanted to order a drink but the man quickly left without asking anyone else if they wanted something.
For the next 30 minutes I proceeded to wait to get a hold of him (he was busy serving other tables so I understand). He even went to serve other of my colleagues for drinks, but I felt completely ignored. So I ended up raising my hand to get his attention & then he came & I ordered a drink, which was delicious btw. But then as this is happening everyone is also waiting for him , or anyone, to come take our orders. After another 30 minutes passes still no one comes so I end up again raising my hand to get someone's attention to tell them we are ready to order food.
Now as a vegetarian, I was saddened to see there wasn't that many interesting options, but I decided to try the gyro plate with pita. Inside was cucumbers, onions, tomatoes & salad + garlic sauce. Sadly it was pretty lacking in taste :/ there are many options of vegetarian proteins existing & none of them were used. The rice was good & the fries too, but yeah the food overall was lackluster, at least for me.
I'd say it wasn't a bad experience, but it definitely wasn't good either. I don't know if maybe in this restaurant you're supposed to get the waiter's attention to get things moving & maybe we were just not used to this, but I would have appreciated a more present type of serving.

The food at this location seems to be prepared better than other locations. I really enjoyed their biftekia. They were not over cooked & still juicy. I also had gyro porc pita & the amount of sauce was just right & the portion was generous. Our waiter was friendly & efficient.
This place is amazing! We came from toronto & everytime we come to montreal we visit here. The food was absolutely delicious, & the customer service was top-notch. The atmosphere had such a nice vibe-it's perfect for any occasion. Ordered chicken pita & veggie pita. Fries were very crispy.It was amazing.I highly recommend visiting this spot. You won't regret it! A must-visit! Let me know if you'd like to tweak it further!

We were a group of 10, the service was great. Food arrived fast. I got the club pita plate, it was really big! Everyone enjoyed their evening at Souvlaki Bar, highly recommend for group.
Ouverture d'un nouveau souvlaki, très bonne nourriture, ambiance cool & tarif abordable service agréable à tester. Les jeudis offre spéciales avec des minis pitas à 2 dollars n'oubliez pas de réserver si vous voulez y manger pour le repas de midi ! Les assiettes pitas sont délicieuses avec leurs patates a la grecque !!!
Our first visit to a 'Souvlaki Bar' franchise, & extremely glad we chose the Ville Saint -Laurent location as a benchmark.
The place was packed & 'hopping' on a snowy Friday evening. Had a great window booth, watching the 'Christmas' view. (almost April as I write this review). The ambiance is bright & alive, lighting is a festive/modern/traditional fusion that works both aethetically & practically. The food is quite frankly another fusion of quality & taste. I ordered the 'Club Pita', this is'nt your daddy's 'club sandwich' (even if he WAS Greek)...lol. Every component is quality & taste. From the chicken to the perfectly prepared bacon strips & everything in between, a real instant 'Go to' plate. The service was Inviting, attentive & appreciative.... how could you not return?
