Au cours de sa tournée nord-américaine, la Superstar grecque Mihalis Hatzigiannis a découvert Melina Mammas, une jeune chanteuse grecque canadienne, fille de Lawrence Mammas, et a été invitée à dîner à La Belle & La Boeuf où il a été tellement impressionné par le groupe qu’il a proposé un partenariat pour apporter une cuisine authentique grecque Souvlaki, avec un concept Foodtastic à Montréal. Voilà que Souvlaki Bar est né, ouvrant notre premier magasin le 12 septembre 2014. Plus de 5000 personnes ont assisté à la grande fête d’ouverture où Mihalis et Melina ont joué à l’extérieur devant plusieurs fans heureux. On commande un gyros au poulet. On reçoit un gyros au porc (très sec). Sur la facture, ils chargent un gyros au poulet. On demande la facture avec le prix réel (ils facturaient 3$ de trop). Aucune excuse, ni le moindre commentaire. On est pas fâché mais on reviendra plus c'est certain.
Came in the other day with colleagues of mine for a goodbye party & sadly my experience wasn't up to par. At the start we had a nice woman ask if we wanted anything to drink yet (only two of us had arrived at the time) my colleague took something but I didn't (I hadn't really looked at the options yet). She brought us both glasses of water .Maybe 30 minutes/ An hour later , everyone arrived & another male server came to ask one of my colleague if she wanted something to drink (mind you she's in front of me) , I also wanted to order a drink but the man quickly left without asking anyone else if they wanted something.
For the next 30 minutes I proceeded to wait to get a hold of him (he was busy serving other tables so I understand). He even went to serve other of my colleagues for drinks, but I felt completely ignored. So I ended up raising my hand to get his attention & then he came & I ordered a drink, which was delicious btw. But then as this is happening everyone is also waiting for him , or anyone, to come take our orders. After another 30 minutes passes still no one comes so I end up again raising my hand to get someone's attention to tell them we are ready to order food.
Now as a vegetarian, I was saddened to see there wasn't that many interesting options, but I decided to try the gyro plate with pita. Inside was cucumbers, onions, tomatoes & salad + garlic sauce. Sadly it was pretty lacking in taste :/ there are many options of vegetarian proteins existing & none of them were used. The rice was good & the fries too, but yeah the food overall was lackluster, at least for me.
I'd say it wasn't a bad experience, but it definitely wasn't good either. I don't know if maybe in this restaurant you're supposed to get the waiter's attention to get things moving & maybe we were just not used to this, but I would have appreciated a more present type of serving.
The food at this location seems to be prepared better than other locations. I really enjoyed their biftekia. They were not over cooked & still juicy. I also had gyro porc pita & the amount of sauce was just right & the portion was generous. Our waiter was friendly & efficient.
Excellent service every time. Delicious chicken gyro salad. Generous portions. Good value. Good set up for small tables & big tables. One of the better restaurants in VSL.
I went here for a work lunch & it was a good experience. The service is very fast & the portions are big. There's nothing to complain about. I got the calamari gyro & it was delicious. The calamari was soft to chew. The fries, rice & salad on the side are also good. For 30$ a person, you will be full.

We went for lunch on Thanksgiving weekend. The server was joyful & playful. He gave us the time we needed to look up the menu & was present when needed. We went with a baby & we were well accommodated with the stroller. The food was good, but a bit pricey. We ordered 2 pork stick plates (juicy meat & well seasoned) & a pork gyro bowl (different flavor & good mix of texture).
Points positifs: - bon rapport qualité-prix (assiette environ 20-25$) & très délicieux - service vraiment bon! Personnels souriants & à l'écoute - service très rapide, nous avons reçu notre commande pour emporter (3 repas) en moins de 15 minutes - choix variés & options vegan offertes Points négatifs: - poulet était un peu sec - manque de sauce dans le gyros (mais nous avions pris un extra sauce à côté alors c'était correct au final) - portion de riz très petite (mais portion de frites plus qu'assez!) Bref, je recommande & j'y retournerai certainement ! 😁
Second location I visited from thus chain & again was pleasantly surprised. Gyros meat only plate was excellent, dips were my fav's again. Good choice for a business lunch.
We had the meat shovel A with gyros for two people. There was indeed a lot of meat & fries! It was a busy evening on the weekend, but the service was good & food came quite fast.
