The service is so bad... You have to order thru online... But the giving your order took soooo long... U need to ask the servers to follow up the order....
It's our group's go to BBQ spot. After every exam session is finished we unwind with good food here.
Great place, good ambience & nice service!
The food & experience is good.
The restaurant is dirty . Not sure the last time the floors were mopped..
if you're gonna close the store at least say so in advance & don't send a text saying to confirm for reservations??
The quality of food is fine. Sushi's are fine as well. The only complaints are dessert! & sussages! For dessert it is only ice cream!! I expected more items! Also, the sussage quality was not good at all!
All in all, it was not bad
Our experience at Sota BBQ was incredibly disappointing. We were a large group with a reservation, but when we arrived, they sent us to the basement & split us into three separate tables far apart from each other-not ideal for a birthday dinner. To make matters worse, the basement was unbearably hot, leaving everyone sweating like we were in a sauna.
We arrived at 9:30 PM, a full 1.5 hours before closing, but they rushed us to order everything immediately because they claimed the kitchen was closing. For a Korean BBQ, this completely ruins the experience since the whole point is to order gradually as you eat. Instead, we were forced to make a massive order upfront, which was hard to gauge. Naturally, we ended up with too much food, & they quickly informed us we'd have to pay for any leftovers. It honestly felt like a setup to overcharge customers.
On top of that, they didn't bring many of the items we ordered, brought too much of others, & the food quality was mediocre at best. The chicken was questionable-neither looking nor tasting like chicken-& the sushi was on par with gas station sushi. They also never replaced the grill, even when it was full of burnt scraps, which every other Korean BBQ we've been to does automatically.
To make matters worse, they automatically added tips to our bills, which was not only unexpected but also felt inappropriate given the poor service. I'm not even sure if this is legal, but it was definitely not appreciated.
It was absolutely not worth $57. For that price, you'd expect much better food, service, & an overall experience. Instead, it felt like a complete ripoff.
We made a reservation for 17 people. Our table was split in two making it impossible to talk to half the guests.
We were told we had 2 hours to eat from 7pm until 9pm. At 8.30pm they told us we had 10 minutes before having to leave & rushed us to order ice cream.
One server in particular was mad & rude because we were slow to leave, & told us to reserve next time any other day but on friday or saturday.
