I visited this place a couple of months ago & am just now getting around to posting my review. The decor is lovely, but I was disappointed with the food. They advertised a mushroom & brie shakshuka & noted it wasn't traditional, which I appreciated. However, my egg was fully cooked. When I mentioned it, they explained they serve it this way because most people don't like it runny. While they noted some differences in the sauce, they hadn't mentioned that the egg would be fully cooked. I was disappointed they didn't offer to adjust it, especially since they'd changed a key element without explaining it upfront.View more

Wow! What a treat! Great tasting food, prepared with attention to detail by an excellent chef. Ingredients are from local producers & very fresh. Prices are reasonable. Had lunch with four friends & we all rate it a 5/5. The decor is beautiful, bright, inviting & super-clean. The photos don't do it justice. We will certainly return!View more

Shinas offers an uplifting atmosphere & a refreshing & relaxed environment. Personally I loved the breakfast specialty dishes. IDK was my order which upon my first bite I quickly declared it as I Definitely Know this is a great restaurant. The lemon ricotta pancake. Hello!!! It was way beyond my expectations. Generous local Maple syrup & butter to boot. My wife ordered The Whole Shabang which had an incredible savoury sauce & was delectable. Generous portions won't leave anyone hungry. The Spiced Pear Bellini was perfect. The owner said hello & explained the benefits of eating & supporting local & qualitative non-mgo, farm fresh ingredients. You will not be disappointed. La nourriture était correcte, sans plus. Les portions sont assez maigres, surtout considérant les prix. Je dois dire par contre que les trois étoiles sont surtout à cause du café. Mon latte était vraiment poche, je ne l'ai même pas fini. Un restaurant a brunch qui sait pas faire du bon café c'est pas super vendeur pour une seconde visite. Ça aussi été très long avant de les recevoir, la nourriture est arrivé en premier.View more

I always read all reviews before trying a new place. Opening a business is hard, putting a one star review because they are booked out by reservations is completely unjustified. Come downtown Montreal where all the food scene is & that is how it works. However, I had the worst service I've ever gotten in a restaurant, so I need to agree with those type of one star reviews. We were the first seated on the terrace on a Sunday morning, & weirdely enough, all the tables who were seated after us got their food while we STILL had our menus in front of us. There was a different waitress for every table outside, which led them to be extremely confused. I'm not sure how you manage your restaurant, I've never seen this before, but the staff is poorly trained. The table next to us got their bill & we still hadn't received our drinks(pretty crazy). You'd expect a business that knows what they are doing to compensate you for that, but they didn't. Staff is friendly but clearly very inexperienced. The food: definitely the best breakfast in Vaudreuil since it is competing with all the chains, so it is obviously fresher food, however, if you really want the best brunch/breakfast, you need to go downtown Montreal where you'll have restaurants with the same prices that are even better. The decor is nice, however could be more cozy as it is pretty big & empty inside. This place has a lot of potential if you fix your current issues.View more
