Everything looked good. The service was good. It was a nice dining experience but I found the prices to be a little high. In the end, the experience was lovely. However it is a matter of taste. If you are looking for a beautifull presentation of your dish n a nice setting then you will not be disappointed. If you are someone who focuses more on the taste of the food then this might not be the place for you. I am someone who puts more onus on the taste. Everything was fine but I didn't find the taste lived up to the price & the presentation. For that reason I will not be returning. It is not a bad restaurant on the contrary it is a fine establishment that many people will enjoy thoroughly., I just found they got the presentation & atmosphere down, they only need to raise the flavor profile of the food. I chose a dish that had a bit of everythiing I tried a bit of the pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausages, bacon & their bread, everything was ok just not outstanding like the presentation.
Loved their breakfast. I'd say best on the west island (depends if you consider Vaudreuil, west island). I ordered the IDK (i dont know), which is a bit of everything. I loved their French toast the best, then the lemon ricotta pancakes, then the eggs. But everything was very good. I skipped the Nutella all over my French toast, since I'm allergic to nuts. The sourdough bread needed a steak knife to get through the crust, but tasted ok. They cut off the crusts off the French toast, which was a nice touch.
Highly recommend this place. I went on a Thursday, there was 5 people there..I hear it's packed on the weekends, which makes sense. The only negative, I wish the breakfast was served hotter, temperature wise, everything else was stellar. Considering it was not busy, I'm not sure why the meal was only luke warm.
We absolutely love that place for brunch. It's a great laid-back/cozy quality food spot & the service is second to none. Today Tristan took great care of us, he was fantastic. All staff is truly courteous & helpful. Highly recommend one of the best brunch places in the Vaudreuil area. The avocado Burrata toast is amazing & for those like me who feels too many choices causes indecisiveness, well, The I don't know plate or the shared brunch board for 2 are awesome for a taste of their specialties. Lemon-ricotta pancakes are deliciously tangy, fluffy & fresh the blueberry compote bringing a complimenting richness. Boozy or not, you will also find a great array of tasteful hot & cold drinks for everyone. All this enhanced by a great atmosphere & emphasis on supplying from small local businesses which are promoted & listed every week on their dining room blackboard.
Updated insight : If you brunch as a group on weekends or on special days (easter, mother/father's day, etc) you better call to book, because the only downside (if I am being picky) is that they do not offer online bookings such as open table or else).
The lemon ricotta pancakes & French toast are amazing! Portions are good sizes & quality for the price & the restaurant itself is a relaxing atmosphere. The service to be seated was a little slow & felt slightly dismissive by staff.
This place is a real jewel!! I went to celebrate Mother's Day with my parents. We were all very impressed with the atmosphere & the attentive service.
We started out with some delicious cocktails which made a special occasion extra special.
We ordered the breakfast board to share, which was delectable. My favourite were the gluten free lemon ricotta pancakes & my mom loved the French toast. The sausages were super tasty, & unlike most restaurants, were gluten free, which meant that I could enjoy them as well.
As a person with celiac disease, it is difficult to find restaurants which offer many choices for me. This restaurant did not disappoint. I highly recommend this establishment & will certainly be going back!!
Amazing food. The pancakes are too die for & everything was delicious. The service was the best, & Tristan our waiter, was friendly & professional & made it a great experience. All the food was local sourced & tasted fresh. I highly recommend you visit this amazing, fun place for breakfast or lunch.
What a phenomenal place for breakfast or brunch. A Memosa perhaps? Great coffee! Amazing food. Personal fav is the lemon ricotta pancakes. The staff are friendly & fun! Thank you! 🙏
Beautiful place to go to eat, the food was amazing, the service was wonderful. Definitely going back to try other things on the menu. I've never tasted such amazing pancakes in my life! Everything was so fresh & tasty.
I went to Shinas, & not only was it beautifully decorated, but the staff & food was amazing. I am coeliac & have to be very careful with cross contamination, however, my server made sure my food was safe. I had the gluten-free lemon ricotta pancakes & they were incredible. I recommend this place to anyone!
Shinas offers an uplifting atmosphere & a refreshing & relaxed environment. Personally I loved the breakfast specialty dishes. IDK was my order which upon my first bite I quickly declared it as I Definitely Know this is a great restaurant. The lemon ricotta pancake. Hello!!! It was way beyond my expectations. Generous local Maple syrup & butter to boot. My wife ordered The Whole Shabang which had an incredible savoury sauce & was delectable. Generous portions won't leave anyone hungry. The Spiced Pear Bellini was perfect. The owner said hello & explained the benefits of eating & supporting local & qualitative non-mgo, farm fresh ingredients. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend. We will be back soon.
Had breakfast for the First time on mother's day...we waited a long time for our food & when we got it, it was cold .pancakes where the only thing we liked.the french toast was hard & cold .drinks were amazing we had ice latte's . The decor is very nice but needs something on the walls it was very bright & cafeteria looking .music too low Had trouble hearing the music with the noise of people yapping.
Wow! 🤯 The food at this place is AMAZING! Definitely recommend the pancakes (it was probably the most delicious part of my meal). Shinas is a super clean restaurant, the bathrooms feel like hotel bathrooms even! The staff was super nice, with there being so many delicious options on the menu our waitress helped me pick. I ended up changing my plate a little so I had a little bit of everything, everything was delicious!
I was so impressed when I walked into Shinaz! The decoration is impeccable & with a very classy ambiance. & the food... wow! Best pancakes I've ever had! Their menu is to die for... The ingredients are all local sourced & each bite was delicious! Top all that with a delicious coffee & friendly service. I'm definitely going back!
Unfortunately very underwhelming. The workers were very polite & so kind & the place was nicely decorated. But the food was below par. Paid 22$ for 3 pancakes that had little to no toppings. The smoothie bowl had almost no fruits on it. I find it's more focused on looking "pretty" than a nice filling & tasty plate. Left hungry & not impressed. Nice people & place just not worth the price for what you get.
Came here as the post-bachelorette party of my fiancé for breakfast. Upon walking in, super fancy, piano music in the back. Nice tables, seats, glassware (crystal), & lighting. The food is on the pricier side, 20-30$ range. Great taste & aesthetic. Make sure to get the French toast & have it warm, soft with panko crunchiness. Fresh orange squeezed, so the mimosa tasted great. Food chosen: 1) breakfast board 55$, swapped pancakes for more French toast 2) burrata avocado & toast 3) the IDK, standard breakfast plate 4) the IDK, swapped pork items with chicken
Have been wanting to go here forever! I went on a Wednesday afternoon & it was very quiet (which I loved.) I got the "IDK" with waffles instead of pancakes & I loved it! I had asked for crepes instead of waffles but it was an honest mistake. Everything tasted so fresh! The service was amazing, I wish I remembered our servers name! The interior is just so beautiful. Definitely coming back.
We had a disappointing experience the first time we came here, but the management reached out to us & encouraged us to give them a second chance, & boy was it worth it! We had a wonderful brunch! Even though it was a busy Sunday morning, the service was excellent. I had a Paloma & the Salmon - both were excellent! It was easy to tell these were made with very high-quality ingredients. My sister had a Mimosa & the IDK (I don't know). The lemon ricotta pancakes are not to be missed!! This will be my go-to brunch place! Thank-you.
