Their fresh coffee beans make the most amazing coffee. The fresh bread & produce allows me to leave the restaurant after my meal feeling full & not bloated & gross. The food is always so fresh & the staff is always so kind. I recommend this restaurant to anyone & everyone.
Tried this place for breakfast. Very pricey for what you get. Charge for coffee. You get 1 piece of toast with the'standard' breakfast. The bacon was greasy & hard. Eggs, cold. Had to go to the counter to ask for ketchup & salt (waitress was chatting & said she'd bring it) had to wait. The place had 4 tables including us occupied. Waitress did minimal. Not worth the $58 !! Will not go back or recommend.
It's the first time at Shinas & what a super nice spot. The breakfast was delicious & just the perfect amount. I think I drove the server crazy with my coffee but Tristan, you were so polite & gracious. You kept warming it up as it cooled down. Thanks so so much. The place is very clean, airy & the staff is so polite! I'm such a fussy client but this will become one of my favorite place . I'll make sure to sit where Tristan serves & so will my girlfriend. Super place!! Highly recommend. They also do special events. The music in the background is also nice.
What a phenomenal place for breakfast or brunch. A Memosa perhaps? Great coffee! Amazing food. Personal fav is the lemon ricotta pancakes. The staff are friendly & fun! Thank you! 🙏
The food was very good, service was friendly but extremely slow. About 2/3 of the tables were occupied, it was Thursday but a statutory holiday for some, so it was busier than a regular weekday morning but not as busy as a weekend. It took 35 minutes for the waitress to come & take our order & another 30 minutes to get the food. The regular coffee should be included with the food but it costs 3.50$ & doesn't taste good at all. We were a group of friends & we all had it & all found it bitter. Maybe it's on purpose, to get people to order the fancy coffee! PLEASE keep milk, cream & sugar at the table! We had to ask multiple times to bring some, it took way too long to get it, & when she finally brought it, it was a tiny amount in a tiny cup smaller than a shot glass (like 30 ml) & of course, by that time, the coffee was no longer hot. We asked the waitress why they just don't keep a bowl of everything we need at the table like other restaurants do & she said she agrees it would be better & doesn't know why they don't do it. When she came for coffee refills, it took another 10 minutes for her to come back with cream & sugar, & again, it was one tiny cup per person. The whole experience there focuses on being fancy, & maybe minimalist too, aside from certain exceptions their portions are quite small. Come to think of it, maybe that's why they don't leave cream & sugar at the tables, because it interferes with the look?!? I will give them another chance in a couple of months, & hope that I will be able to try the Shakshuka, as I went there for that, but minutes before taking our order they ran out of Brie. So I had to settle for something else. That probably would not have happened had we had a chance to put in our order earlier. So for that, the coffee thing all the delays, they only get 3 stars. I will change my rating next time if service improves.
Music is way too loud & the high ceilings means all the chatter of people is very loud. Food was tasty but portions too small for the price. I was still hungry after spending 20$. Regular drip coffee not included in price. Served in a giant mug so it got cold before I could finish. Not really many dairy free/meat free options I was interested in. Service was good & available in English. Nice decor.
For a place serving breakfast, the menu is very limited. Ordered steak & eggs that are pricy. The steak came under cooked & the hashed potatoes were a sample. The place itself is clean & modern but the staff needs experience. Coffee came in a large mug & the cream was freezing cold. Will not come back.
I was so impressed when I walked into Shinaz! The decoration is impeccable & with a very classy ambiance. & the food... wow! Best pancakes I've ever had! Their menu is to die for... The ingredients are all local sourced & each bite was delicious! Top all that with a delicious coffee & friendly service. I'm definitely going back!
Went for brunch with my friends (we were a group of 8), beautiful decor & lovely atmosphere. However very slow service. Our plates were all brought out at different times - which is unfortunate as some of our plates got cold as we waited for everyone to get theirs). French toast was dry & underwhelming (especially for the price), the mimosas were ok. Coffee refills were not included & had to wait 15 minutes after asking for more. Overall the price was quite high for a brunch, it is better suited for special occasions & not an every weekend breakfast stop. I went with really high expectations, but left feeling a little disappointed.
Beautiful food presentation & everything was tasty & fresh. Great farm to table concept to support local produce. The price is more expensive. Clean environment & good service. Coffee is extra, not included in the meal.
Shinas Boozy Brunch offers a delightful dining experience with a clean & sophisticated ambiance. The restaurant exudes a high-class feel, adorned with fresh flowers & marble tables that elevate the atmosphere. The menu boasts great-tasting food, combining flavors that leave a lasting impression. Despite the positive aspects, there are areas for improvement. Attention to details could be enhanced, as we noticed some chipped coffee mugs during our visit. Additionally, the service experience was slightly marred by a delay in receiving our coffee, & there were no offers to refill our cups. Addressing these aspects would further elevate the overall dining experience at Shinas Boozy Brunch. Nonetheless, the reasonable pricing makes it an attractive choice for those seeking a sophisticated yet affordable brunch option.
As soon you walk in the atmosphere it is cold & lacks colour & liveliness. Table placement is poor & it's tight in the back room. Breakfast menu is limited & specific. It seems to offer more drink choices than food choices. For the price tag, you'd expect at least a free refill on a cup of coffee, however, that's not the case. You pay per cup & thats sacrilege for any breakfast restaurant.
Absolutely love this place! Quality, delicious food, & all locally sourced - even the coffee! Decor is beautiful, & owner/staff were a pleasure to speak to. Definitely a new go-to spot. Highly recommend!
