Reviews describe Sapa as a cozy, welcoming spot with consistent flavors, generous portions and very reasonable prices. The menu centers on vegetarian and vegan Vietnamese dishes such as vegan beef banh mi, bun hue, bun mam, and papaya salad, plus hearty soups with rich comforting broths. Soups are repeatedly praised for depth of flavor and satisfying textures. Takeout is reliable and portions are generous, with friendly staff and attentive service noted by many. The atmosphere is described as pleasant and intimate, though a few comments mention room for improvement in the decor. Overall the place is seen as a standout for plant based Vietnamese and a go to for friends and family, including non vegetarians who enjoy the flavors. Many plan to return and recommend it to others, making Sapa feel like a trusted favorite for affordable, authentic vegetarian dining.
Torn on how to rate this. They're very friendly & the food is fine, but this is such a bang average Viet veggie place - I feel like I've eaten at places exactly like this fifty times in other cities. On the one hand the food is good (because Vietnamese IMO is a top three cuisine on the planet), but on the other hand as Viet tofu shops go it's whatever. If this were in Saskatoon I'd give it five stars, but in Montreal there's too much else to try. Sorry guys! No shade at all
Some of my favourite Vietnamese food in the city, vegan or otherwise. The'beef' & lemongrass spring rolls are amazing, love the Bun Hue soup too! All the staff are so lovely & very affordable prices

Never have I thought I would find my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal 😝… & it's vegan! Idk how they do it but the soup base & the sauces for pho & bun are so legit & authentic-it's just like what I've been chasing for since I visited Hanoi years ago 😭 Sapa has become my go to comfort food place! I do want to mention that the restaurant is cozy but doesn't have the best atmosphere, but the food does all the heavy lifting anyway.
Excellent vegetarian dining establishments. They prepared meals that was really Vietnamese. Similar to sandwiches, some other entrees & nouidle soups were really good.
If you are a vegetarian & you like vietnamese food, you will love this restaurant for sure ^^ They offer tasty food & it's fresh. Personally, I love their crispy egg rice cake 😉 yummm Also it's affordable! No parking lot, but with public transportation & feet, you can reach there ^^

I am Vietnamese myself & have missed Vietnamese food so much since going vegan. I no longer have to miss it at all thanks to the kind staff at Sapa because the food here is delicious & authentic-tasting. The owners are also the sweetest & make you feel at home the second you walk in. P.S. if you want durian ice cream, you have to ask them to grab it from the back fridge 😉
As a Vietnamese, I love this vegan resto, the taste even better than original version with meat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ PLUS for the customer service: so friendly, so kind & helpful. Would come all the way from West Island to here again for the food because it's worthy.
Sapa has been my go-to feel good, family-run spot! Their vegetarian Vietnamese food isn't just flavorful, but addictive!! Banh Mi are my personal favorites but their soups & appetizers are so good! They have ice cream by the scoop & such delicious unique flavors! The owners are so friendly & create such a welcoming homey vibe.
Visiting from Vancouver, & this was a must-go in my short time back.
Thank you to the fam at Sapa!

You’ll be surprised how fresh & yummy the food is here as they are all made fresh daily.
For those who are in love with Vietnamese food, this is a vegan heaven for you because this is really authentic like what we vegans actually eat in Vietnam. Even if you’re not vegan, don’t worry the taste will make you doubtful as it’s too good to be real 😂
My favs: papaya salad with faux beef jerk, Vietnamese crepe, banh mi (of course!), spring rolls (fresh!), soup (any of 3 kinds), Vietnamese coffee & homemade fruit ice cream (seriously so good that I stop lining up at another famous ice cream place nearby & become loyal here)
Friends, Sapa has been feeding me (lol) since 2020 & they deserve more recognition! Come support them & enjoy the authentic Viet vegetarian/vegan food!
