Born in may 2007, Santos is the quintessential old Montreal tapas bar experience. Open from tuesday to saturday, it specializes in traditional Spanish food and offers a large an original selection of spirits, cocktails, wines, sangrias and mojitos. Live DJs every night and many special events. Santos is ideal for your 5 to 7s, late night dinners, corporate bookings and live musical events.
ORIGINS OF SANTOS All the streets in Old Montreal are named after saints. Located on the corner of Saint Paul and Saint François Xavier and given that the food served is Spanish, it was only natural to name place "Saints" in Spanish.

Par contre, notre serveuse n'était vraiment pas présente… Elle était constamment cachée à parler à d'autres serveuses dans un coin, elle n'est jamais venue vérifier si tout se passait bien, je retire une étoile au service juste pour ça. Son service était vraiment mauvais & même au moment de payer on a attendu un bon 5 min après elle qu'elle finisse de flirter avec un de ses collègues pour qu'on ait l'addition.. les plats étaient bons, mais les quantités trop peu suffisantes, & vu leur prix, on a préféré finir notre soirée ailleurs où les quantités seraient + généreuses.. c'est vraiment dommage car l'ambiance a l'air bonne mais si les serveuses ne s'occupent pas de leur table & que ce sont d'autres personnes qui le font, ça donne pas une bonne image de l'endroit.

My go-to spot in the Old Port. The food is always delicious, the drinks are great, & the staff is genuinely amazing. Perfect place for a girls night out, every time! Awesome vibes if you want to stick around & dance after dinner.
Santos was fantastic, great food, fun vibe, & quick service. Manager Genevieve really stood out; she checked in with us & made the whole experience feel seamless. Definitely recommend.
The atmosphere is electric, with the perfect blend of chic décor, great music, & that unique Old Port vibe that makes every night feel special. The food & drinks were on point - flavorful, creative, & clearly made with care.
A special shout-out to Genieve, the supervisor, who took the experience to another level. Her professionalism, warm personality, & attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcome. She checked in on us multiple times, made thoughtful recommendations, & ensured everything was perfect from start to finish. It's rare to see that level of service, & she delivered it with ease & a great attitude.

My experience at Santos was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant & welcoming. A special mention goes to Geneviève, the manager, whose professionalism, warmth, & attention to detail truly stood out. Her incredible service made the entire experience unforgettable - she went above & beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Santos is definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for great vibes, amazing food, & outstanding service.
The bouncers were also extremely respectful & friendly, creating a safe & comfortable environment for everyone. Santos is a place where you feel valued, well taken care of, & guaranteed to have an amazing time.
The vibes, the cocktails, the food… but most importantly the service!!! Gen is the BEST! She helped us with everything from start to finish, the service was friendly, attentive & welcoming. I can safely say she made us the best margaritas in Montreal.

Nous avons eu le plaisir d'être servis par Gen, dont les recommandations ont été parfaites du début à la fin.
Chaque plat était un véritable délice : le ceviche de crevettes, frais & raffiné ; le tuna tartare en tacos, plein de saveurs ; la lobster pasta & sans oublier le picanha steak & sa sauce exceptionnelle.
Les crevettes croustillantes & le guacamole complétaient parfaitement ce repas mémorable.
Un grand merci à la magnifique Gen, dont l'attention & les conseils ont sublimé notre expérience.
Always had an incredible time at Santos! Cozy atmosphere yet lively with good music, the food was delicious. Special shoutout to Gen who made sure everything ran smoothly & treated us like VIPs. Can't wait to come back - easily one of the best spots in MTL!
