Restaurant Rumi offers you a culinary experience of the Silk Road that once crossed Central Asia and the Middle East. A route that linked cities, oases and markets... great traditions, formidable kingdoms.
The Silk Road was also the route of spices, generous in fragrance and flavor. We invite you to be inspired by the spirit of the travelers, merchants and pilgrims who, for centuries, exchanged goods, riches and important cultural elements. A spirit of discovery and openness. We aim to create a hospitable atmosphere conducive to meaningful encounters. A setting in which to take the time to restore oneself in the sense of regaining strength and meaning.
As far as possible, our cuisine favors local, organic and sustainable agriculture. All the meat we serve is halal.
The dining experience at Rumi blends warm ambiance, generous portions, and a rich mosaic of Middle Eastern flavors that many reviewers describe as authentic and inviting. Dishes like mezze and mains are praised for their depth, with several notes on fresh ingredients, thoughtful seasoning, and creative twists that still honor tradition. Service is repeatedly described as attentive and friendly, with a welcoming atmosphere and occasional live music that enhances the mood. The terrace, decor, and overall value receive frequent compliments, making it a favorite for family gatherings, celebrations, and casual dinners alike.
Beautiful ambiance; flowers & plants on terrace, warm lighting from wall sconces, lamps, colorful rugs & hangings. Wait staff excellent & made recommendations based on our personal tastes. Good array of menu choices for both vegetarians & meat-eaters.
This restaurant was a delight, in every way. Visually, it was beautiful & welcoming both inside & out. We sat outside, surrounded by flowers & greenery. The menu was full of delectable possibilities, but we finally decided on lamb (Fez & Sultan dishes) & were amazed at every delicious bite. Truly, a memorable evening & a must-return-to dining experience.

Very cozy neighbourhood restaurant! Excellent lamb dishes, butternut squash & that mixed rice! It reminded me of Persian wedding rice dishes I've tasted in the past. My only complaint is about the size of some appetizers (such as the hummus): quite small for their price. Other than that, excellent, friendly service too.
Awesome brunch Sunday. Everything was wonderful from all the usual favorite meze, merguez & mint tea to the tagines & omelettes. Vegetarians & meat lovers had many choices & left happy with the food, service & ambience.
