The Silk Road was also the route of spices, generous in fragrance and flavor. We invite you to be inspired by the spirit of the travelers, merchants and pilgrims who, for centuries, exchanged goods, riches and important cultural elements. A spirit of discovery and openness. We aim to create a hospitable atmosphere conducive to meaningful encounters. A setting in which to take the time to restore oneself in the sense of regaining strength and meaning.
As far as possible, our cuisine favors local, organic and sustainable agriculture. All the meat we serve is halal.

Absolument parfait, tout était délicieux, le serveur attentif & les lanternes allumées avec la chandelle sur la table ont donné une ambiance parfaitement romantique à la soirée

Une première expérience sublime. En entrant les épices & les herbes créent une ambiance exotique. Le service impeccable & charmant nous a comblé. Pour ce qui est de la carte elle est limitée mais chaque plat que nous avons commandé était tout près de la perfection. Les calmars sont extraordinaires. La tajine était parfaite. Le jarret d'agneau fondait dans la bouche & la sauce était envoûtante. Nous y retournerons certainement. Ma conjointe a beaucoup aimé son drink exotique, moi beaucoup moins, mais bon on n'y allait pas pour les drinks. Nous n'avons pas pris de vin. Merci & bravo.
Repas absolument délicieux. Ambiance sur la terrasse très agréable & serveur très courtois. Je fréquente ce restaurant depuis les tout débuts & certains plats viennent d'être changés , j'appréhendais mais au contraire c'était encore plus goûteux.

Bouffe bonne & service top, mais on dirait que les plats ont perdu un peu de peps & il manque de quoi à l'ambiance. Un peu déçu, on reviendra cette été sur la magnifique terrace avec notre chien, en espérant que nos attentes seront comblées.
We loved our experience at Rumi. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly & ambiance was very nice for a date night. We can't wait to go back!
We had a wonderful evening at Rumi Restaurant. I was in the habit of going there very often the past twelve years or so (it was my favourite restaurant in Montreal), but the last two times I was there (over six months ago), I noticed a decline in the quality of the food & ambience. This last time, I was delighted to find the old Rumi! Thank you for offering us a unique culinary experience, together with a taste of a traditional Islamic decorative ambience. Absolutely wonderful! The only negative point I can mention from last night was the music: instead of consistent traditional Islamic/Sufi music, there was a mixture with jazz that I found off-putting. The traditional Islamic/Sufi music is MUCH better & well-suited to the ambience Rumi uniquely offers.
It's been my favorite restaurant for years! The food, the service, the ambiance - everything is just magic there. & last night was no exception! Highly recommend this beautiful gem of a restaurant.
Excellente cuisine savoureuse, menu de 4 services à 65,00$ très honnête. Trio de musiciens très professionnels, qui sonne un peu fort, compte tenu de la taille de l'espace & du rôle qui lui est sans doute conféré, soit de créer une musique d'ambiance & non un spectacle. Restaurant à recommander!
