dim sum(38) cart(12) chinese(9) authentic(8) quality(7) recommend(7) busy(6) fried(5) tip(5) dishes(5) chinatown(5) decent(5)In Montreal for the day with the family. They had an event when we were there, so the service was a little slow. We didn't mind because we were not in a rush. The food were delicious! I recommend this place.
Every time I see there's wholesome families & grannies/uncles everywhere. Thats how you know food's 🔥
Authentic, Generous, & Unforgettable
Had dinner at Ruby Rouge Restaurant yesterday & was genuinely impressed. The food is absolutely delicious - rich in flavor, beautifully presented, & unmistakably authentic Chinese cuisine. Every dish felt like it was crafted with care & tradition.
Service was warm, attentive, & efficient throughout the evening. What really stood out was the pricing: more than affordable considering the generous portions & high quality. You truly get incredible value here.
I'll definitely be going back - & I highly recommend Ruby Rouge to anyone looking for a satisfying, authentic dining experience in Montreal.
Typical Chinese Dim Sum.
Not my first not my last visit.
Chinese friends helped us with our order. Ate at 1pm on a Monday. Limited but adequate choices on the trollies.
Overall satisfied with under $20 with tax & tip.
It was impossible to have information in French or English for the menu. at the end when we went to pay, the cashier did not want to give me my money back & she told me that the rest of the money was for the tip . don't pay them in cash, pay them in credit card.
Randomly went in here. Though we were seated quickly for a weekend, the service was slow. The food was tasteless. One of the worst dim sum experiences in Montreal. We also had ordered a noodle dish for kids & it never arrived & we had to chase after the servers to get it & it eventually arrived when the rest of us were almost done our meal. We asked for the bill & had to chase after the server to receive that too. Overall not a great experience. Pricing was similar to other dim sum restaurants so I would suggest checking another place instead.
Poor to mediocre service, food is poor to mediocre at best as well. Service is mediocre at best. This restaurant is still in business only because there is a lack of decent Chinese restaurants in the metropolitan area of Montreal. Not sure if I would recommend it to friends & family to be honest, but the place is considered somewhat accessible as it's in downtown, affordable as in it's not the most expensive restaurant & the servers are nicer to you if you are a regular.. Their morning dim sum (drink tea) specials before 11:00 is usually a pretty good deal.
Their plate of noodles seem to be a bit bigger now than before.
We have been visiting this restaurant for over 15 yrs & it never fails to deliver. The food is always great & the service is efficient. It is clean & well maintained, except washrooms are a bit rundown only. I would recommend the salted spicy calamari, as well as the chicken & black beef with the garlic bok Choi all delicious!
This review is for their ddash/ueats products.
This has to be the best value Chinese one can get on that platform. Dim sum on demand & other Chinese meals provided in a more generous quantity than most competitors.
The only downside is that taste & quality may feel a little cheaper, but if you're really hungry, it hits the spot.
The dim sum pretty good. The service a bit slow. There not much dim sum selection
One of the best spots in Chinatown for affordable & delicious food! Their char siu with rice is always fresh & flavorful. Back in the day, it used to be just $4.50-$5 a plate, & even though it's now $7, it's still absolutely worth it. I've been coming here since my childhood, & the quality has never changed. If you're looking for a great, budget-friendly meal in Chinatown, this is the place to go
Food was decent but saw a giant cockroach on the wall & am concerned with the cleanliness.
