Le Dim sum servi dans le style reconnu de Hong Kong avec des chariots ambulants ou dans des pièces privées pour des déjeuners d'affaires. Avec deux élégantes salles de banquet ainsi que des petites salles privées, le Restaurant Ruby Rouge peut accommoder 650 invités, c'est le choix idéal pour vos réunions de famille et célébrations entre amis.
Rubis Rouge propose un dim sum traditionnel avec service de chariots et des portions généreuses à prix raisonnables, avec des plats comme les boulettes et les dumplings souvent bien reçus et une ambiance agréable pour les groupes et les familles; mais la qualité est variable selon les jours, certains plats étant frais et savoureux alors que d'autres manquent de goût et que les pattes de poulet peuvent être fades ou les calamars frits arriver froids. Le service peut être lent ou impersonnel et des expériences de commande ou de paiement mal gérées ont été signalées, ce qui influence l'impression globale. Le rapport qualité-prix est parfois excellent lorsque les plats sont bien exécutés et généreux, ce qui incite à revenir pour une expérience authentique. Dans l'ensemble, Rubis Rouge reste une option populaire pour un repas chinois abordable et authentique à Montréal, mais la constance et le niveau de service peuvent varier selon le jour.
Randomly went in here. Though we were seated quickly for a weekend, the service was slow. The food was tasteless. One of the worst dim sum experiences in Montreal. We also had ordered a noodle dish for kids & it never arrived & we had to chase after the servers to get it & it eventually arrived when the rest of us were almost done our meal. We asked for the bill & had to chase after the server to receive that too. Overall not a great experience. Pricing was similar to other dim sum restaurants so I would suggest checking another place instead.
Poor to mediocre service, food is poor to mediocre at best as well. Service is mediocre at best. This restaurant is still in business only because there is a lack of decent Chinese restaurants in the metropolitan area of Montreal. Not sure if I would recommend it to friends & family to be honest, but the place is considered somewhat accessible as it's in downtown, affordable as in it's not the most expensive restaurant & the servers are nicer to you if you are a regular.. Their morning dim sum (drink tea) specials before 11:00 is usually a pretty good deal.
Their plate of noodles seem to be a bit bigger now than before.

We have been visiting this restaurant for over 15 yrs & it never fails to deliver. The food is always great & the service is efficient. It is clean & well maintained, except washrooms are a bit rundown only. I would recommend the salted spicy calamari, as well as the chicken & black beef with the garlic bok Choi all delicious!
This has to be the best value Chinese one can get on that platform. Dim sum on demand & other Chinese meals provided in a more generous quantity than most competitors.
The only downside is that taste & quality may feel a little cheaper, but if you're really hungry, it hits the spot.
Nous avons commandé des boules de crabe, mais on nous a servi des boules à la crevette sans nous prévenir. Aucune explication, aucun choix offert - & pourtant, le plat a été facturé comme si c'était du crabe. Sur la facture ? Tout est en chinois, impossible de comprendre ou de vérifier quand on est francophone. À Montréal, c'est inacceptable : le français devrait être la norme, ou à tout le moins l'anglais.
Dans l'ensemble, ce n'était pas un « wow ». Qualité correcte, service impersonnel, & cette opacité laisse un goût amer. Nous ne retournerons pas.

One of the best spots in Chinatown for affordable & delicious food! Their char siu with rice is always fresh & flavorful. Back in the day, it used to be just $4.50-$5 a plate, & even though it's now $7, it's still absolutely worth it. I've been coming here since my childhood, & the quality has never changed. If you're looking for a great, budget-friendly meal in Chinatown, this is the place to go
I have real high standards for Chinese food & this is my fav place here!! I've ordered Uber eats from here many times & have dinned in for dinner once. It's been exceptional every time! Staff are also super friendly.
I went to the Ruby Rouge for dim sum today around noon & we were three. The resto was about 75% full & we were seated quickly upon arrival. The resto didn't look modern but was still nice with its nostalgic warm old school Chinese decor. Our waitress was quick & friendly. The food was fresh, hot & good. However, even though the restaurant wasn't full there were no more food carts passing by us anymore after only two passed by. We waited about 20 minutes without food & decided to leave after looking everywhere & saw there was no one pushing any dim sum carts in the whole very big restaurant. We weren't the only ones waiting for food. They looked understaffed with their waiters & waitresses running around & no one pushing the dim sum carts at some point, I've never seen that before anywhere. I wouldn't go back there if I were starving but would go back with friends to catch up & take our time to eat & chat because the food & service were good & it's a nice place but the waiting was also very long to the point we left still hungry.
Authentic Dim sum cart service in a banquet hall style place. You can order a la carte earlier & the carts come around about 10:30. It was authentic & everything we had was tasty. Service was fine. They asked if we wanted things earlier for the kids we had with us before the carts came around. Enjoyed the experience & would come back!
