Review Summary

Rollys attracts long weekend lines and strong buzz for its soft, decadent brioche rolls and a wide array of flavors. Reviewers praise the pastries for texture and taste, with favorites like pistachio, pecan caramel, pear Nutella and cinnamon buns, and warming them often brings out the best. The experience, however, can feel slow and busy, with comments about staffing and lines sometimes stretching the wait and affecting service. A few batches are described as undercooked or mushy inside, and a tiramisu flavor misses typical notes of coffee and mascarpone. Prices are noted as high for the size and richness of the treats, though taking home a box of six is common and convenient. Overall, Rollys is celebrated for flavor and variety, balanced by lines and occasional inconsistencies in cooking and service.

Arrived at 12:30 pm on a weekend to find a line already out the door. After watching the'operation' behind the counter, it all made sense.

They had three people working: two of them were teaming up on a single roll like it was a complex surgical procedure, while the third seemed to be playing a fun game of'Guess Who's Next in Line?' Spoiler alert: nobody knew.

If you enjoy watching efficiency die a slow death, you'll love the wait. Perhaps there wouldn't be a line if the service moved faster than a tectonic plate.

As for the rolls? A hefty $16 for two, so be prepared to take out a small loan for your snack. But I have to be honest-they are delicious. Soft, chewy, sweet, & pure decadence.

It's the kind of taste that almost makes you forget your hunt for parking & another thirty mins watching the slowest tag-team in bakery history.

Come for the rolls, stay because you literally have no choice-you'll be in line for a while
