Rollys is described as a small, busy spot that serves large, soft cinnamon buns with a creative lineup including classic, raspberry pistachio, Biscoff, Nutella, pear, orange and tiramisu, with many reviewers praising freshness, warmth and bold flavors, while some batches come out dry or undercooked and the original cream cheese icing can be overpowering. The experience is punctuated by long lines, limited seating and occasional delays, and utensils are sometimes missing, though staff are generally nice. Overall the buns are considered tasty and substantial and often worth the price, especially when warmed, making Rollys a noteworthy destination for cinnamon bun lovers despite the bustle and a few misfires.
Pretty solid dough just wish the classic wasn't cream cheese icing so it was more of an actual classic cinnamon bun😭 I don't understand the obsession with cream cheese, tasted more like a red velvet cake or cream cheese bagel than a cinnamon bun. I need the gooey cinnamon & the nice vanilla icing, pleaseeeeeeeeeee please please #creamcheesehate
Ok so this may or may not be a hot take, & I know everyone's opinions & taste are different. But to me this is in the top 3,if not maybe even number one of best new cinnamonbun spots in the city.
@rollys.mtl located on Ste-Catherine is truly above the rest I have to admit. I've been to 6 new cinnamonbun spot to date & this one is still stuck in my head as the top. I ate one right away & one about 6 hours later & it was just as fresh as the first one.
That & the toppings, actually tasted like what they're advertised as. So many times you get a Pistachio flavoured dessert & u swear it taste nothing like it, not here, here it's at the forefront of your palate & every bite after! They have so many fun & some even different flavours that I haven't seen any of the other places do!
Favourite for me was the Raspberry & Pistachio topped Cinnamonbun & the Apple crumble. Top top of a must try next time you guys visite. But with that being said all of the flavours from the Pear, Biscoff or even the humble strawberry, leave you wanting more & more!
FOODGASMIC 💦 CERTIFIED & I'm going back soon to pick up some more just before the holidays ❤?
I was reeled in by the amazing looking cinnamon rolls by the window & was equally amazed by the pleasant service i received! Thanks to this wonderful staff & most importantly thanks to Carla who was extremely helpful & friendly! 10/10
I am crestfallen at making this review honestly. I love pastries & I was especially excited about trying the viral cinnamon rolls here, finally some at Montreal! They looked soooo good too! Unfortunately, the classic cinnamon roll I got was underbaked (my friend who is a baker can attest to that since she tasted it too), it was such a disappointment. I had taken a special raspberry one, which was better too (baked well), but too sweet. I sadly expected better.

The cinnamon rolls are generally very good in both taste & quality, & the service is commendable. However, the bakery may benefit from improving their baking schedule to ensure that all flavors remain available throughout the day, as several options tend to be out of stock by the evening.
I struggle to rate this place because I'm not sure what its main product is trying to be. I tried 4 flavours but ultimately they all tasted like lesser versions of other pastries that exist, & as cinnamon rolls they just barely hold the title. Is it a fun concept? Sure, in theory, if you're a fan of very wet (beyond moist) overloaded pastries. & you have to be a fan because you're likely going to wait in line to get them.
Rolly's is a super tiny cinnamon bun spot on St. Catherine West. Getting there was honestly a bit of a mission with all the traffic & construction in the area - I almost didn't go because of it.
When I walked in, they only had the raspberry pistachio ready. I waited for the classic, & the Biscoff came out shortly after. They have so many flavours - apple, orange, tiramisu, & more. I genuinely love the creativity behind the concept. From what I saw, everything looked beautiful.
The raspberry pistachio wasn't really my thing - I found the raspberry a bit too sour for my taste. The classic, though, was solid. The bun was soft & pillowy, served warm & fresh. The cream cheese frosting was pretty good too.
Full transparency: I'm not a huge cinnamon bun person in general, so take that into account. But from what I experienced, they're doing fresh, creative, well-made buns.
I don't know if I'll personally be back just because cinnamon buns aren't my go-to, but if you're a fan, this place is definitely worth checking out for the variety alone.

It's ok. I was really excited to get a cinnamon roll but they didn't have the traditional ones left. So I got an apple one & a pecan. They are ok but both taste like cream cheese. Overall it was 19$ for 2 cinnamon rolls & the taste was a bit disappointing for me. But not bad either. & it was Saturday at 6pm so I didn't understand why they only had 2 flavours left… long wait time…
It tasted good but I was surprised that it was served cold. I double checked the opening hours & I actually got there right as it opened so I'm confused how it could be served cold. Also there are no knives at the location so it's kind of messy to eat with just a fork. I'd like to be able to cut it into smaller pieces. I wouldn't really go back, there are other cinnamon roll spots that opened up in town which might be better.
This is the Best cinnamon bun I've ever had. Bun is soft, moist, buttery with crispy carmelized bottom, perfect amount of cream cheese icing, not overly sweet.
Food is good, but service is terrible. Waited 45 mins just to get some cinnamon rolls. 2 people were working & it's like they were purposely moving in slow motion.
