J'ai poursuivi ma quête du meilleur smoked meat à Montréal. Je vais malheureusement devoir faire des comparaisons avec ce que je connais déjà.
Le prix est assez élevé pour le produit. Cela dit, je comprends tout à fait l'aspect d'être situé en plein centre-ville. J'ai aimé que l'assiette soit servie avec les accompagnements; pour 29 $, c'est une énorme portion qui m'a bien rassasié.
J'ai moins aimé la salade de chou, qui est davantage vinaigrée que crémeuse, même chose pour le cornichon. Maintenant, si je compare avec d'autres endroits, la prise en main du sandwich était moins agréable. C'était le genre de bouchée qui se défait facilement, ce qui affectait aussi l'uniformité & la proportion des bouchées, qui variaient selon l'endroit du sandwich.
Mes commentaires peuvent sembler durs, mais ils reflètent simplement mes goûts personnels. Je crois aussi avoir un parti pris pour Schwartz. Cela dit, ça n'enlève rien à Reuben's, qui mérite tout de même une excellente note.
A lovely place for a delicious & relaxing meal. friendly & welcoming atmosphere with exceptional service. The cheesecake! Oh you must try one of the cheesecakes!
Great food, love the atmosphere & service was very sweet. Props to our server Matt. I'd say this is a perfect stop for good food without the business of TV screens. Not too loud & booth seating is the best.
Only caveat is most items range around $30. It seemed pretty tough to find anything interesting under that price range.
Highly recommend their pumpernickel bread! Didn't know it could taste that good!

Go for the sandwich. The hanger steak was great but not for the price. Serving on a hot skillet meant my blue steak arrived medium rare & continued to cook.
Overall the diner is a little worse for wear. Missing tile, ripped seats, etc.
Service was adequate but not personable, didn't take a lot of time to talk about the menu or specials.
J'arrive en avance pour ma table mais le resto n'est pas bondé de gens. L'e maitre d'hôtel ne m'offre pas de m'assoir en attendant mon invité que je puisse boire un cocktail & manger un entrée. C'est vraiment décevant cette place. Nous somme rendu là dans l'indépendance du service à la clientèle.
Great food. Great service. Great vibe. 3 of us. We all enjoyed our meals. Went there prior to a hockey game. Very friendly spot. Definitely would recommend a reservation. I booked 5 days ahead & had to take earlier than I wanted. Ordered roast beef melt, original Reuben & steak sandwich.
