I've tried a lot of restaurants, but Reuben's Deli & Steakhouse is honestly on another level. The quality here is consistently outstanding, everything tastes incredibly fresh, & you can tell they don't cut corners.
What I love most is that it never disappoints. Every visit feels just as good as the first one, which is rare. I always tell myself I'll try something new, but the dishes I've already had are so good that I keep going back to them, which is kind of ironic, because I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as amazing.
If you're looking for a place where you can count on great food every single time, this is it.
Enjoyed our Ruben & smoked meat (Charlie) sandwiches. Fries were good! This amount of food was filling for us- glad we got the smaller size. No wait for our late lunch/early dinner.
Il semblerait que leur steak est délicieux, mais pour cette première visite, j'ai simplement essayé le sandwich de viande fumée. Il était très tendre, mais la texture ressemble à de la viande attendrie & piquée. Côté saveur c'est bien, mais loin des épices de schwartz's ou George à Laval
Une réussite! Serveuse honnête, sympathique & tous semblent complètement bilingues (ce n'est pas tjrs le cas...). Le 1lb smoked Meat est impressionnant!
It was our first time trying Ruben's & hands down can say they have the best smoked meat sandwiches in Montreal (yes, even over Schwartz). All other food & dessert that we ordered was excellent. Most important the service that we received from Vivian was outstanding & memorable :)
C'est delicieux! Reuben's is a renowned place for Montréal smoked meat sandwiches. Whenever I'm in town, I'd like to get the 1 lb Big Bang sandwich & walking through McGill University on rue Peel. Après le repas, faites de l'exercice en montant le Mont Royal.
You MUST sit down & enjoy the amazing flavours that Reuben's has to offer. We had the short rib Mac & cheese, sliders & Cajun jambalaya. Even if you are picky with beef, I promise you the best beef you have consumed. Truly a highlight of our trip!
Je travail juste devant Reuben's & j'ai gouté à leur sandwich smoke meat pour la première fois. Wow! Probablement le meilleur smoke meat de montreal! Personnel sympathique & très accueillant. Je recommande fortement!

Next up on my smoked meat tour was Reuben's. Not to be confused with the other restaurant with the same name (I've been told they are not affiliated), I decided to try the big bang sandwich, which was the biggest sandwich they had.
Overall on taste I'd say it was decent. I liked that the fries were more of the shoestring variety as opposed to the darker cut fries that a lot of the deli restaurants seem to be serving. Because there is so much meat, it made it kind of impossible to eat it as a sandwich, which is okay as I really just needed a big protein portion. For me the price was a little too steep for my liking compared to some of the other restaurants I had during my visit. The meal came out to close to $50 after tax (& that's for takeout).
We had a wonderful meal. Food was excellent. Seems there was a bit of confusion with one of our meals not being what we had ordered & the building was very loud but excellent experience.
