Food is bomb, huge portion (especially the japchaes, joogopsoon, & pancakes) for a reasonable price, excellent service. They also have so many korean alcohols & beverages that are hard to find in most other korean restaurants in mtl. They also got bubble tea as well. Definitely recommend their bunsik combo, dakgangjung, bibimbap, tangsuyook, & seafood pancakes. Kids especially love the korean corndogs. They also have exotic foods like soondae, monkfish stew, black goat stew, chicken gizzard & so much more so if you want to try real korean food, this is a place to go.
My favourite restaurant. All dishes are tasty with good prices. I can eat there every day! My favourite dish is black goat stew.
Updated: I have to say that I preferred when they were a counter service. The prices are still reasonable, but portions have shrunk considerably. The ingredients in the bibimbap was disappointing. I have yet to try their tripe & seafood dishes. Unpretentious & stellar Korean street food: Kogos, fried battered chicken & tofu in sweet spicy sauce, battered vegetables, stews & noodles. Prices are below market rate (the container of freshly fried tofu was $4.99). I'll definitely be back soon to try their spicy fish dishes.
Atmosphere is not really enjoyable, simple place. A lot of food options, not that much options for vegetarians. The food was average but the prices are really good. I have ordered a tteokbokki & fish & seafood stew. Ttekbokki was really delicious. Fish stew I didn't like it to much but it was my mistake it come with big pieces wish bones the broth was lacking flavour & seafood was really chewy. The service was really nice & friendly. Thank you.
absolutely lovely place. spacious warm relaxed servers. we got ddokbokki & soondubu & a japchae. along with the refillable appetizers there were abundent leftovers. it was light, refreshing, & not full of salt. they were closing at 10 but did not rush us in any way. would definetely return when missing good Korean food. excited to try out the more adventurous dishes next time like goat stew & maybe sausage.
I must have had an off day because I didn't love what I got (soft tofu stew, house special combo). The fried stuff seems like the thing to get. Super friendly & fast service
Great authentic Korean food, great value for money! Had tteokochi, naejangtang (intestine soup, rly hard to find elsewhere in mtl) & kimchi stew, all really good.
The kimchi stew is decently sour, my wife likes sour soups like tom yum etc & she loved it.
Also seems they renovated & feels more resto vibes now. friendly staff!
