Les avis sur Limbo décrivent une expérience culinaire inventive et soignee dans un cadre cosy avec un service attentif et chaleureux. Les plats, souvent elabores avec des produits de saison et des touches creatrices, recueillent de fortes appreciations et des favoris reviennent comme langue de boeuf, tartare de boeuf, magret de canard, truite, panisse a la provencale et oeuf a la neige en dessert, sans oublier l'ambiance et la musique qui participent a la belle soiree. Des notes pointent toutefois un rapport prix valeur parfois critique et quelques plats peuvent sembler moins marquants, les vins pouvant etre chers, mais l'ensemble demeure tres positif et de nombreuses personnes envisagent de revenir.

Tout était délicieux! On a pris les huîtres, le tartare de boeuf, le magret de canard & la truite. Le service également était impeccable.

Chui allé ya genre un mois c'était top 👍
Le menu a changé depuis mais les entrées foie+melon & tartare boeuf+haricots étaient absolument yummy 😋 Les plats aussi étaient impeccables. À manger avec 4-5 verres de Coors Banquet 🍺
J'ai pas de photo mais le mille-feuille!!! Oui!!!

I came to this restaurant on a Wednesday night as part of a belated birthday celebration, driving in from NYC. As luck would have it, my Airbnb accommodations fell through last minute & I needed to bring my dog in order to make the reservation. Restaurant Limbo changed our seating to outdoors with zero issue or stress.

As non French speakers, our server Mathilde translated our menu for us in great detail. She gave serving size suggestions & recommended n/a beverages that were great. She truly made must feel confident in our ordering process.

Coming from nyc (& working in a Michelin restaurant myself), Restaurant Limbo set the bar high as our first Montreal dining experience. We tried several courses but the standouts included the Panisse, the Lamb Tartare, & the Morilles. All so flavorful & coursed beautifully. Conor also came to our table to check in & made our dessert recommendation knowing that we were looking for something light.

We finished off our meal with Oeuf à la neige- a merengue with cream & rhubarb. It might have been my favorite dish of the entire evening. So light & the perfect ending to a fantastic dining experience.

Thank you Restaurant Limbo, we will be back!

Great addition to the neighborhood! Make sure to try the beef tongue, tartare & chicken liver pate. I wasn't crazy about the snow crab & scallop dishes, but loved the other ones! Will definitely pass by again

Amazing service from Jack & Mélanie! The reccs were great & all of the food was so good. Highly recc the Ragu pasta & the beef tartare 🤩

Had the pleasure of dining at Limbo during its very first week-there was a palpable sense of nervous energy & excitement.

1) We started with the beef tartare, topped with trout roe, surrounded by a ring of gelée. We also ordered the house-made sourdough bread & beurre composé: perfectly chewy & flavourful.

2) This was followed by a reinterpretation of poireaux vinaigrette, with leeks layered over perfectly cooked trout confit.

3) Next came the off-menu special: house-cured ham topped with mustard greens, peppery & perfectly dressed just enough to balance the richness of the pork.

3) Then a clean, elegant plate of halibut served with seasonal white asparagus & a light, buttery sauce.

4) For dessert, a showstopper: a meringue'floating island' in a pool of tonka bean-infused crème anglaise, topped with fragrant poached rhubarb.

Overall, 10/10 for a first week, & we are excited to go back.
