Reviews describe Limbo as offering excellent service and a warm, stylish ambiance, with many calling the experience among the best restaurant visits and recommending it broadly; the menu is praised for creativity and fresh, seasonal ingredients, though several diners note that some dishes were too salty or that wine and tasting menu prices are high, and a few meals felt uneven. Overall, diners highlight standout items such as beef tongue, duck, and seafood, and there is a sense of wanting to return for the thoughtful service and high quality cooking.
Bravo à chef Cédric pour ses plats extrêmement à délicieux & bravo à Claudia pour son service impeccable & ses conseils en vin.
J'y retourne sans hesitation.
We had a table of 4 & all got the choix du chef (price fixe ~$100 per person). They brought out 5-6 dishes for us all to share, & the food was like fine but it's nothing special, not worth the cost in any way.
Service etc was fine but inequitable in terms of portions .. table next 2 us was 2 ppl on price fixe menu & they received the exact same amount of food… despite us having double the number of people & paying twice as much..! Weird behaviour & left me concerned about the owners liquidity..

What a lovely experience. Owners present & clearly love what they are doing. We had chefs tasting menu & food was creative & delicious ( classic French inspiration). Great vibe, happy smiling staff. Loved it. Will return
This establishment was by far the best restaurant experience I've ever had. It was an absolute pleasure to witness & experience a high level of service. Definitely would recommend this to anyone & everyone. Well done chef.

We just had an absolute brilliant meal at Limbo… perfect night…
Snowy Montreal…. Cozy dim lit restaurant…
The service was immaculate… very attentive, when reading the menu to us, they painted a description of each dish…
We ended up ordering 6 plates… annnnnnd…
Tough to pick a favourite because not a single dish was a miss, but the beef tongue was the standout for us… bananas.. so good.
Excellent time dining at Limbo this past Sunday. The restaurant is gorgeous & the food is fantastic. While we were there it relatively quiet, which just enhanced our experience. Noted to go out to restaurants on Sundays more often! Our favourite things we had were the squash soup with an oursin sauce ontop, as well as the duck dish which had perfectly cooked duck slices & a duck crepe with orange. It's hard to pick an favourite though because everything was super inventive, fun to eat, & high quality. John & Jack were extremely kind & professional & explained the various dishes, made great recommendations & provided excellent service. Thank you!

I'm not sure I'm being very objective probably not
I'm not the type to write internet restaurant reviews, but when a place is run by people who work with heart, you take five minutes & say it sincerely, thank you guys
I'm lucky to count the chef among my closest friends, & I spent several weeks there, surrounded by the smells, the laughter, the late nights.
& ever since, I've missed that place.
Places like limbo, where people still cook out of respect for the craft, where every plate tells something true, they're getting rare, too rare
That's why it matters to back those who care about substance, not just style.
This year, I had one of the best dinners of my life at Limbo.
Not just for the food, but for the energy, the team, the wine, the honesty, the warmth.
You want something real? Book a table.
Cool can't be bought.
Neither can hard work.
It's a tough, often thankless industry, & you give it back its dignity.
If you care about food that actually means something, go & enjoy the moment
