J'ai essayé plusieurs bons restaurants à Montréal dans la dernière année. Rien arrive à la cheville de mon expérience de hier soir au Limbo. C'était incroyable.
Étant moi-même cuisinier, on parle souvent de la cuisson des viandes en cuisine, mais rarement du mastering de la cuisson des légumes, qui est selon moi encore plus complexe à comprendre & à maîtriser. Je crois que c'est ce qui m'a le plus marqué du Limbo, les légumes étaient PARFAITS. Tout le reste l'était aussi.
Service impeccable, bouffe de dingue, & ambiance super agréable.

D'abord je dois donner une mention exceptionnel à Harrison, chef Ukrainien au talent indéniable avec un palais hors de l'ordinaire. Un virtuose des mariages réussis qu'il arrive à faire. L'asperge blanche fut un pur délice. Le tartare de boeuf était tendre, de grande qualité & bien assaisonné. Le crabe avec ses croquants de radis & céleri était délicieux. Le flétan & ses accompagnements se déroulait comme une symphonie de saveurs bien orchestrées. La poire pochée en combinaison avec le miel & le fromage bleu fut une révélation. En terminant le flanc avec sirop d'érable & rhubarbe, un équilibre parfait. Sarah la barmaid & notre serveuse ce soir était un peu froide au début mais elle est vite devenu chaleureuse lorsqu'elle a vu notre appréciation de la cuisine. Leur prix, très raisonnable compte tenu de la qualité de la nourriture. Leur nouveau bib gourmand du guide Michelin pleinement mérité.
Went there for dinner last night, good atmosphere, we did the tasting menu which was good, lots of interesting flavours & creative dishes. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they brought the last main which was lamb made 3 ways & there was barely any meat on the plate…we may have gotten 1-1.5 bites of meat each of the plate which was disappointing. Otherwise good experience.
We had a great experience at Limbo restaurant in Barcelona, thanks in large part to Karim. From the moment we arrived, he was friendly, attentive, & genuinely welcoming. He made us feel comfortable straight away & struck the perfect balance between being professional & personable.
Karim was knowledgeable about the menu, gave helpful recommendations, & made sure everything was just right throughout our visit. Nothing felt rushed, & he checked in at all the right times without being overbearing. It's clear he takes pride in his work & really cares about the customer experience.
Service like that makes a big difference, & Karim definitely elevated our evening. We'd happily return & would hope to be looked after by him again.

We had a table of 4 & all got the choix du chef (price fixe ~$100 per person). They brought out 5-6 dishes for us all to share, & the food was like fine but it's nothing special, not worth the cost in any way.
Service etc was fine but inequitable in terms of portions .. table next 2 us was 2 ppl on price fixe menu & they received the exact same amount of food… despite us having double the number of people & paying twice as much..! Weird behaviour & left me concerned about the owners liquidity..
What a lovely experience. Owners present & clearly love what they are doing. We had chefs tasting menu & food was creative & delicious ( classic French inspiration). Great vibe, happy smiling staff. Loved it. Will return
This establishment was by far the best restaurant experience I've ever had. It was an absolute pleasure to witness & experience a high level of service. Definitely would recommend this to anyone & everyone. Well done chef.

Tough to pick a favourite because not a single dish was a miss, but the beef tongue was the standout for us… bananas.. so good.
