Across the collected reviews, Limbo is framed as a standout dining spot that many call among the citys best, with energy, warmth, and craft that set it apart. The space is praised as cozy and beautiful, the vibe ideal for dates or friends nights out, and the service consistently described as attentive and knowledgeable. Dishes are repeatedly commended for freshness, seasonal ingredients, and originality, with several standouts mentioned and a dramatic dessert; some visitors note that a few plates can feel uneven and that wine and cocktail prices can be steep. The kitchen is credited with respect for the craft and a thoughtful progression, and the overall experience is enhanced by strong guidance through the menu. Reservations are advised due to popularity, and while the experience is often very favorable and memorable, a small number of reviews regard it as overpriced or lacking in personality on certain visits. Still, Limbo is widely regarded as a refined and exciting addition to the neighborhood.
We just had an absolute brilliant meal at Limbo… perfect night…
Snowy Montreal…. Cozy dim lit restaurant…
The service was immaculate… very attentive, when reading the menu to us, they painted a description of each dish…
We ended up ordering 6 plates… annnnnnd…
Tough to pick a favourite because not a single dish was a miss, but the beef tongue was the standout for us… bananas.. so good.
We will definitely return with anticipation…

Excellent time dining at Limbo this past Sunday. The restaurant is gorgeous & the food is fantastic. While we were there it relatively quiet, which just enhanced our experience. Noted to go out to restaurants on Sundays more often! Our favourite things we had were the squash soup with an oursin sauce ontop, as well as the duck dish which had perfectly cooked duck slices & a duck crepe with orange. It's hard to pick an favourite though because everything was super inventive, fun to eat, & high quality. John & Jack were extremely kind & professional & explained the various dishes, made great recommendations & provided excellent service. Thank you!

I'm not sure I'm being very objective probably not
I'm not the type to write internet restaurant reviews, but when a place is run by people who work with heart, you take five minutes & say it sincerely, thank you guys
I'm lucky to count the chef among my closest friends, & I spent several weeks there, surrounded by the smells, the laughter, the late nights.
& ever since, I've missed that place.
Places like limbo, where people still cook out of respect for the craft, where every plate tells something true, they're getting rare, too rare
That's why it matters to back those who care about substance, not just style.
This year, I had one of the best dinners of my life at Limbo.
Not just for the food, but for the energy, the team, the wine, the honesty, the warmth.
You want something real? Book a table.
Cool can't be bought.
Neither can hard work.
It's a tough, often thankless industry, & you give it back its dignity.
If you care about food that actually means something, go & enjoy the moment
Oui!!!
Vibes are good, the place looks beautiful & the food is perfect, what else can you ask for? Had a beautiful birthday meal there & the team was so sweet. Congrats to them for the best opening of the year. Love yall

Phenomenal presentation & service. 20/10. Had the tasting menu, come hungry, the best balance of meals. Must, must, must try the panisse a la provencale, radiocchio de parcelles & definitely cannot skip the truite de Montebelo! Thank you!
