Overall it was good. We were a group of 8, when we initially only ordered 2 bottles of wine , but after finishing them the waitress did not ask us if we wanted to order extra & instead just popped 3 more of them without asking & went right ahead to serve them but we did not realize until the bill arrived
One of the best in town! Amazing atmosphere, great food & just impeccable service
Super cute spot. In the summer they have a really nice indoor terasse set up. Had drinks at the bar, did not have any food. Had a litchi martini, it was good! Has a nice wine selection, along with gorgeous bathrooms. Would be a great spot to book privately for an event. Bartender super nice & attentive for service as well.
Great food & service. Food price is a bit steep. Overall would recommend; we were a large party (20 ppl or more) & everyone had a great time for our friends 40s bday.
Stunning trendy space , great service & vibes , the food was delicious but the entrée portions are small for the value & the cocktails were just … okay
The beef carpaccio is a must
Great time, amazing food & excellent service! Thanks for everything! ♥? special cheers to Jeremy Anya & Alex you guys were wonderful! 🥂🍾
Attended my cousin's wedding this weekend at Le Richmond. The service was outstanding - from the valet service & the seamless transition from ceremony to reception, to the food, atmosphere, & overall vibe. The staff were warm & welcoming. 10/10 experience!
I was at Le Richmond for a special event & it was great. The service is wonderful, the establishment is gorgeous, & the food was amazing!
Jeremy is an exceptional head bartender. The dessert that I wanted ( chocolate praline) was not available from the menu & the other options had cream which I cannot have. He went out of his way & left the site (took him 20 minutes ) to bring me a delicious chocolate mousse from a bakery. He made my night & put a huge smile on my face ! Thank you Jeremy :)
Very mediocre. Food was pulled from the fridge. Staff was inexperienced. It feels like a factory.
Came to le Richmond for brunch & was served by Stella who absolutely brightened our day…pleasant, efficient & very kind.
It would be very appreciated if the payment machine allowed for tips as she definitely deserved one!
Thank you.
We will most certainly be back.
My experience at Le Richmont was somewhat disappointing, primarily because the value didn't seem to match the quality of service & culinary offerings. Appetizers: - Burrata: Adequate, but lacked any distinctive features to set it apart. - Oysters: Standard fare; nothing noteworthy. - Beef Tartare: Outstanding. It offered a perfect balance of texture & flavour with excellently chosen meat-a must-try. Main Dishes: - Flambées Pasta: This dish was a letdown. It's touted as a signature dish, yet the pasta reminded me of something you'd find in a supermarket packet. While it was cooked properly, it lacked originality, & the Grana Padano sauce was barely recognizable. - Black Cod: My companions enjoyed this dish, noting it was well-seasoned & perfectly cooked. - Filet Mignon: Exceptional. The quality of the meat & the seasoning were superb, accompanied by deliciously flavoured smashed potatoes & sautéed legumes. This dish justified its price with its remarkable preparation. Desserts: There was a notable service issue as the restaurant had only one serving left for Dark Praline Mousse & informed us only after we had ordered it. This lapse is unexpected from a high-end venue, & unfortunately, the staff did not proactively offer a solution. Following some discussion, we were offered Tiramisu as a replacement. - Dark Praline Mousse: It was the highlight of the desserts, featuring a sublime balance & exquisitely prepared brûlée banana. - Tiramisu: Unfortunately, it felt pretty artificial & didn't meet expectations. - Ginger Panna Cotta: This was mediocre for my taste, seeming overly thickened with cornstarch. Ambience: The restaurant presents an inviting, cozy atmosphere with charming wooden decor. The general level of service was satisfactory. Overall, while there were high points in the culinary experience, particularly the beef tartare & filet mignon, the overall offering at Le Richmont didn't quite live up to expectations, especially considering the high standards one anticipates from such an establishment.
First time trying this resto…. First impression was terrible. - The atmosphere had its charm, there was a live DJ, & I heard the outdoor set-up during the summer has quite the vibe to it. - The kitchen needs a revamp, equipment was covered in tin foil all the way around & looked used up. - The lamb was the only thing our table tried that was good, the rest lacked taste. - Won't get into service, the workers could have been burnt from a long week or year, it just wasn't what I expected from a 200$/head resto.
Thursday night yet the restaurant was EMPTY! There were literally 2 other tables a side from ours. Our server was kind but clearly never trained, brought the wrong bottle of wine twice, could not answer basic questions on the menu, did not refill our glasses, etc. With the lack of labor, I can understand & accept that, not a big deal. Where the restaurant really fell short of expectations was on quality! Fois gras poilé was served cold, steak was over cooked, they ran out of Perrier after 1 bottle served. On top of that the chef flat out refused to serve the steak with grilled/crushed garlic, our poor server had to share with us the awkward refusal. Tons of great restaurants in Montreal, 120$ steak or 35$ carbonara can be had in many better locations around town.
I recently brunched here with a group of friends. While the space is lovely & our service was kind & attentive, the food was very disappointing. I ordered Le Santé, which advertises poached eggs, smoked salmon, cottage cheese, avocado toast, & Greek yogurt with fresh fruit & granola. The avocado toast was a sad slice of bread that was smeared with what looked like prepackaged avocado spread & the poached eggs were watery & cold. After spending over $30 on my plate & a coffee, I left feeling hungry & let down.
We had a holiday party here for our work & it was a lovely experience! The maitre d'hôtel Elias was very efficient at managing his team. He got our orders on time, the food was the right temperature & tasty. In addition, they were very on point on being attentive to some of our guests who have food allergies & sensitivities. Overall it was an excellent experience & we would come back here again.
