We paid $150 per person for a supposed 15-course'immersive movie night' tasting experience, & it was one of the most disappointing dining events I've ever attended.
First, 9 out of the 15'courses' were literally juice. Not creative mocktails. Not paired beverages. Just juice. That leaves six actual food items - & those appeared to be frozen Costco appetizers heated up & plated. There was nothing immersive, nothing elevated, & certainly nothing worth $150.
To make matters worse, we were left waiting an entire hour before the movie even started, with no clear communication or apology. The pacing felt completely disorganized.
We were also promised a gift included in the ticket price at the end of the evening. Apparently there was'an issue,' & we never received it. No substitute, no refund, no partial compensation - nothing.
For the price point, this felt careless, poorly executed, & frankly misleading. If you're charging fine-dining prices, you need to deliver fine-dining quality & professionalism. This was nowhere close.
I would not recommend this experience to anyone. However, the 2 waiters were really nice.
Food was delicious & had a true Mexican flavor (muy buen sazón mexicano). The portions were perfect. My husband had yummy chilaquiles with beef & he thought they were great! Our daughter loved that her chorizo omelette was so cheesy, she liked that her fries were crispy & hot; & she loved the honey melon as part of her fruit side (included on her plate). I had the tampiquena plate which included beef, enchiladas, beans & guacamole. The beef was cooked just right & had delicious onions on it. So juicy & yummy. We will definitely be coming back when we are in Montreal. Thanks so much for the crunchy & sweet bunuelos to top our wonderful meal. 🇲🇽

La salsa que nos dieron estaba muy rica, aunque a mí me hubiera gustado más picosa.

J'ai été souper au 514 un mardi soir avec ma soeur. Les tacos al pastor étaient délicieux (juteux & tendres), & j'ai pu commander une salade pour les accompagner. J'hésitais entre les tacos & les enchiladas. Je suis hyper sensible à la nourriture piquante, alors j'ai demandé quel était le niveau d'intensité de la sauce à enchiladas verde & roja. La serveuse m'a gentiment apporté une cuillère de chacune pour que je puisse y goûter. C'était bien bon, mais trop brûlant à mon goût, alors j'ai pris les tacos. Ce qui était un excellent choix. Les assiettes, comme le décor, étaient aussi très esthétiques. J'y retournerai certainement :)

We ordered delivery via UberEats, & I am blown away by how well the food traveled. Usually, brunch can be hit-or-miss with delivery, but Le 514 nailed it.
• The Tampiquena: This was the star of the show. The steak was tender & perfectly seasoned, & the authentic accompaniments made it feel like a high-end sit-down meal in the comfort of our own home.
• The Omelette: Fluffy, generous with the fillings, & arrived hot! You can tell they use fresh, quality ingredients.
Everything was packaged securely & arrived exactly as described. If you're looking for a brunch that goes beyond the basic'eggs & toast,' this is the spot. I'll definitely be ordering again!
I order the posole, & it is warm, comforting, & full of flavor. I also get the Dalgona whipped coffee, which is creamy & sweet & goes really well with the meal. My boyfriend orders the Mexican burger, & it is juicy, well-seasoned, & has a nice Mexican twist to it. The portions are filling, & everything tastes fresh. Tonight they also had a salsa class that happens every Saturday. The music was lively & enjoyable.
The food here is so freaking good, I had the baja crispy fish tacos & they were so delicious. Great dine in experience with comfort & atmosphere & good music too! It wasn't loud when i went there but there was an event
Nous étions un groupe nombreux sur l'heure du lunch. La nourriture était très bonne. Par contre le service était un peu lent, mais j'imagine que c'est normal pour un groupe nombreux.
Alors bon restaurant dans l'ensemble. Les 2 gros points noir:
-1 très froid, il serait intelligent d'investir dans un vrai chauffage car un tout minuscule pour chauffer tput un restaurant quand il fait -20 dehors c'est pas terrible. Nous avons eu très froid & nos enfants aussi.
2- Exxxxtttrreeemmmmement cher pour ce que l'on a dans l'assiette meme si faot maison. On a pris 2 plats de tacos & 1 entrée chips guacamol très simple, 1 toast guacamol sans goût avec 2 oeufs au plat sans assaisonnement sur le dessus & 2 jus de pommes 150$??!!!!!🤯😵😵 nan mais sérieux. Faut revoir vos prix
A fuir pour nous. Pourtant nous adorons manger mexicain. Mais là pas possible les tarifs pour 3 pauvres tacos dans l'assiette
