I'm a visitor, coming from Chicago, & I was looking for some good Mexican food. I came across this place & my first visit was great, I decided to stop by one more time before I left to get a drink, it's the only place that I came across that had Modelo on draft but I had a the opportunity to have a great conversation with the owner. Got to learn a lot about Montreal & the community as well thanks to her! Will definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good Mexican food, good drinks, & an overall great atmosphere. I am definitely going to be coming here again on my next visit!
Really lovely dining experience. The food & drinks we had were delicious & service was excellent. Really pleasant & relaxed atmosphere on the patio. Would love to come again!
Had some dinner & drinks. The drinks were good but a bit warm. The food was alright. I'm not gonna say it was bad but the taste & quality didn't match the menu price. The server was very attentive & friendly. I'd be back once the food improves & maybe then recommend it.
Absolutely incredible. The Al Pastor tacos were succulent as well as the Cochinita Pibil Tacos, which had really good pickled onions on top. The staff are kind & hospitable, & there is a massive TV screen with the World Cup on it. Service is incredible. The bartender is very skilled, awesome drinks & the Tres Leches was also very good, topped with star fruit & strawberrys.
Atmosphere is nice as well as it is on a bustling street, but not too loud either.
Amazing restaurant.
Terrible experience!
I chose this restaurant to introduce my girlfriend to Mexican culture, & boy, did I regret it.
1. I booked a week in advance, & they lost my reservation, so I had to wait. When I finally got a table, it was incredibly cramped, & the waiters kept bothering us to let them pass.
2. 100 MINUTES!! I waited 100 minutes & never received my food. When I got tired of waiting, I STILL HAD TO WAIT EVEN MORE to pay for my drink.
3. Some people who arrived after me received their food, but from what I could see, I wasn't the only one in this situation.
Why are you receiving so many people if you can't serve them all? I'm giving it one star because I simply can't give it zero.
We chose to try this restaurant because they had a stand down. It smelled really good outside in the street during the month of June when there is the mural festival in San Laurent Street . The advertise said three tacos for $15 with a free soft drink. We should've probably tried this offer , but thinking the qualities is the same if we sat in the terrace, we decided to go by their menu, which was different from their street sell. The terrorist looks nice & with the music festival it had a good vibe to sit there, but the food wasn't tasty/authentic, we weren't served with water nor utensils until way after our food was served, (a waitress, literally passed by our table with a picture of water & looked at the table without serving us water), my tacos was just a very soft tortilla bread & beef. No tomato/onion/cilantros/… anything! The guacamole was like a light green liquid (nothing like real guacamole) & didn't taste good, the nachos we ordered was not hot & the cheese wasn't melted. Looked like they just grated the cheese over some nachos & some randomly salsa sauce & brought right at the table. We added beans as a side dish, & it came cold & tasteless. & to just make this experience even worse, we had to wait so long after we asked for the bill , & it wasn't even crowded. I'm still posting some photos that I took so you wouldn't fall for the appearance of the restaurant. Save yourself time & money & try another Mexican restaurant. Even the chain industrial Mexican restaurant (3 Amigos) comes way better than this. (to be absolutely fair. The only thing good about this dinner. Was there small salad on one of our dishes, which was a simple salad, but ended up as the best part of it, compared to the quality of everything else)
We went for the Coco Immersive Dinner, wow. Throughout the whole service the food & drinks were delicious. Come here with an empty stomach because you leave out of here by rolling through the doo
