Super friendly & welcoming staff! They gave us great service, generous portions, & delicious food! Many options for all kinds of tastes - & a very interesting bathroom!

Only one real vegan option (adapted avocado toast) is available. The meal itself is fine; nothing crazy but a decent filling meal. I wish there were more fun vegan options but still grateful they were able to make me something! Service is attentive & fast, especially for such a busy spot.
Unfortunately the restaurant (inside) is very loud from both music & chatter so just not a pleasant start to the day for brunch with friends in my opinion.
I'm not a fan of franchises, but L'Avenue offered a wide variety of food & beverage options, unlike the monotonous choices of eggs & other common items that can be found everywhere, even at home. This allowed me to experience different flavors & cuisines, at least for a few visits. So, I'll give them credit for that. I saw friendly staff & quality of presentation in our visit.
Between the portions we had I liked the Rib-eye stake avocado & hot chocolate was basic.
I think the place is generally good. The food options vary & the price is typical for the food quality & portion sizes. It's not a steal it's not exceptionally large portions but its well done food with many customizable options to allow you to have a brunch that may suit your needs. The price is decent, not cheap, not insanely overpriced. We had great service fast & timely manner, also polite. Generally good experience.

Tl;Dr - Upgrade your Benedict to a French toast base instead of English muffin for only $5, thank me later Just going to start off with, everything we ordered tasted amazing. Came here back in November 2023. We literally took 15 minutes going through the menu because it was so hard to decide what to order, everything looked amazing & sounded amazing. We decided on trying the avocado hummus with braised lamb & pomegranate seeds, a mushroom Benedict, & some pancakes. The hardest thing to decide was which 3 dishes to get, because we are not from Montreal & won't be coming back often. So we wanted to try as much as possible. Luckily, they have an option to switch out the English muffin & upgrade it to French toast for only $5. & yes, I definitely recommend ALWAYS doing that. I don't even like hummus, that dish was supposed to be primarily hers. But she just kept eating the French toast mushroom Benedict, & I ended up having most of the hummus, which was really good, especially for someone who doesn't like hummus. We also love how their potatoes aren't fried. Like 100% of all brunch places in Toronto does fried potatoes, & pretty poorly at that. It was so refreshing to have something different. Every time we go back to Montreal, or even pass by Montreal, this will definitely be a stop we will be making.
Service rapide, personnel agréable, j'ai adoré toute mon expérience! L'endroit est paisible & bien situé, la nourriture excellente & les boissons de même! On ne pourrait demander mieux pour bruncher. Seul suggestion, peut être offrir plus de choix ou de remplacements dans le menu, car nous avons hésité car diverses options avaient un truc qu'on aime pas. Peut être offrir un menu sur mesure?
I would give it 4.5 because it took a very long time to get our food but was worth the wait. Food was delicious overall, big portions (so definitely shareable) & you can make your own plate which is pretty nice. Love their decor inside, & they had a pretty cute sunny terrasse outside. Would definitely go back & try other things on the menu, it's so rich & vast, full of options.
Amazing experience! I asked for a vegan option & Laurie helped me with kindness & a big smile! Delicious avocado toast with mushrooms! Loved it! It's was a birthday & she came singing Happy birthday IN SPANISH! Just lovely! Thanks Laurie! ❤️

This is such an amazing breakfast/brunch place! Great food options that anyone can enjoy that are absolutely delicious! Our server Laurie was super sweet & attentive & the moka is to die for!
Service was friendly, many options for side dish customization. Large portions, unique French toast & pancake styles were a hit. Smoothies are quite big, but easily shared between two people. Decorations remind you of being in a basement party in the 90's.
