Got pipa tofu, steamed pork with salted egg yolk (very tradish homey Canto dish, perfect with rice) & beef noodles (gan chow ngo hor) hit the spot perfectl
I mean, I really didn't have high expectations so that in itself made for an okay experience. We got the Canto noodles, fried rice, mixed veggies & dumplings. The dumplings were a huge disappointment as they were underdone & tasteless. The problem is they are so packed & don't speak the best english so making a complaint isnt even worth it.
The food also felt microwaved because usually hot food from the pan you can tell is steaming but when things are microwaved the heat is trapped underneath & in the middle so the steam doesn't rise. Again, not the end of the world but not good either.
The mixed veggies & fried rice were the saving grace here because the Canto noodles were not good until I put some soy sauce in. Otherwise, a forgettable place & I am sure there are some better options around selling the same type of food with better service & quality.
Not good service as expected for a Chinese restaurant, but I at least expect food to be good. Have to ask for ice water, not refilling it. When asked if certain food contains peanuts, waiter just annoyingly said no. We order 1/2 a roasted duck, it came out BLACK & DRY. It was old & they re-deep refry it. When I told the lady, she just said she would mention to the owner, that's all. A guy brought our noodle out, it was the wrong type but we started eating anyways thinking oh well, no surprise. However, he came back & said oh, I gave you the wrong dish. He asked us the put the food back onto the plate so he could give it to the right customer, but we already started eating. He ended up took that dish away & proceeded to give it to the other customer.
Immediately when I went in u saw the tables oh the tables the cover on the tables is so cheap & the table where I was seated the cover was cracked & the ceiling is quite old & not very pleasing but enough with the atmosphere the food! Mostly the food is quite good actually BUT I ordered their classis cantonese noodles & some of the noodles were raw! It was almost impossible to chew I guess that's not their best dish so I guess I should recommend you to avoid that dish so be careful I think its number 104 on the menu oh & also the service is very very quick. Good day!
We randomly stopped at this place with the children as we were hungry & they seemed to have alot of meal options. They definitely do, probably more then 50 & they have alot of vegetarian options as well. The service was quick, they bring you a little tea kettle from the start, & your food is ready in a matter of 10 minutes. The kids loved it because, well, noodles... but it was a little too much drowning in oil & salt for our taste. The portions we're huge for the price, so all in all not a bad experience but would we go back? Probably not.
Portion is very generous & affordable pricing. The soup noodles i had was a little bit salty. But that could be due to the roast pork. Service is prompt & atmosphere is cosy.
There was fruit flies flying all around us. The staff weren’t very attentive at all. My noodles were burnt, undercooked, & cooked in the same plate (idk how that even happened). I only ate the vegetables from my plate. They were pretty good vegetables
